How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Pets First Veterinary Clinic
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Our dog went through a traumatic experience with another vet facility and hasn't been the same since. We switched to Pets First and so glad we did. He needed his nails trimmed, heartworm test and vaccines and wasn't having any part of it. He's a big and powerful dog who is hard to control when he's scared. But, they got the job done! They were patient, caring and understanding. Everyone who works there is so friendly. They definitely know what they're doing and we trust them completely. I would recommend them to anyone.

I'm really happy with the service we received. My dog suddenly stopped eating after going to the daycare. I suspected he caught something there. My dog has become really weak since it has been 4 days since he ate normally. He was also having diarrhea. I called multiple Vet clinics, and was turned away. Some were completely booked, and some wanted to take advantage of me and wanted to charge an arm and a leg close to what an emergency vet hospital would charge. My dog is drinking water, and while I wanted to get him checked up - it didn't seem like an emergency. Pets First was able to see my Husky in about 30 mins. They took their time to check him, and was super nice. They prescribed him some soft food which my dog ate right away. I was surprised he chose that over his favorite chicken or treats. They suggested I watch my dog, and gave me pricing for any testing I might want to do if he doesn't get better. They weren't pushy at all and didn't seem like they just wanted to get money out of their customers. I will for sure come back next time! Thank you!

Dr. Clementz and staff are amazing. We received the best personalized care for our cats. We will never go anywhere else. I am very grateful to Dr. Clementz for correctly diagnosing our cat and saving his life. You will not find a more caring and friendly group of people!

I was very pleased with how quickly they got us in. Our 17 week puppy had been sick with diarrhea for 6 weeks and our old vet kept saying to feed her chicken and rice. She was not getting the nutrients needed to grow. Pet's First was amazing. Once she started the prescription food to heal her gut all the diarrhea stopped that evening. The vet was wonderful to work with. She took her time, got to know us and our dog. She was great to work with as well as the entire staff. We have since transferred our older dog to their office as well!!
