How to Save on Veterinary Costs at St Kitts Veterinary Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

It has been 2 weeks since we had to put our Skooter down. He was 17 years old. The staff was very helpful and comforting. Doc explained where Skooter was physically and assured us in the tough decision. Thank you for helping us through this tough time.

Misdiagnosed lime disease for antifreeze poisoning. He Didn't think to run blood test to see if kidneys were functioning ok. Even I knew to do that. The late diagnosis lead to us having to put her to sleep bc it destroyed kidneys basically. I understand people make mistakes but this is the 2nd pup that died on his watch. I'm never going back to that place

Today we sadly had to put our beautiful 18 year old cat down. He was the best cat ever and deteriorated super fast. My family asked for a last minute appointment, we have never been there before, and they managed to get us in. The staff was super friendly and compassionate, they were very comforting to my sobbing father. They wrapped our boy up nicely in the blanket we brought with him and placed him in a very nice burial bag (we took his body home) which added an extra feeling of care to his body. They didn’t treat us like a cash grab, they didn’t treat our cat like some animal, they treated us like a grieving family who lost a very loved family member. They saw his age just by looking at him and reassured my father that he had lived a good life. They took their time with the process and were very caring every step of the way. Thank you so much St Kitts for giving our boy Charlie a peaceful sendoff. We are forever grateful. The Bowe Family. 💗
