How to Save Money at ValleyView Veterinary Care
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

This is Pickles(chihuahua) and Happy(pomapoo) I bought Happy from a family when she was almost 1 year old to keep Pickles company and he would have a playmate his age and size(both are 4 lbs adult fully grown now) The very first morning of Happy being part of our family I woke up to them doing the nasty lol. Upon going to the vet he informed me that she was very small and young to be prego and not to get my hopes up for healthy puppies. Although I imagine their offspring would be ridiculously adorable my intentions when getting her was not to breed and was having them fixed. Long story short - sadly Happy went into labor 2 weeks early and puppies werent fully developed. The vet hospital wanted $3600. for a full hysterectomy I CANT AFFORD THAT so i was sobbing thinking they were going to let her die. I called the spay neuter clinic in fear that Happy would go toxic from waste from imcomplete birth etc still possibly in her and explained my situation. They made an appointment for the next day and said they would remove everything during the operation to 'fix' her. about $3450. CHEAPER I am happy to say that she is still with me 3 years later alive and well with Pickles. Cant thank this place enough for the joy my babies bring to my life!

My dog became diabetic type 1 and this vet orders my insulin and needles for me at the same cost as chewy.com without needing a prescription because it's coming directly from the vet. And cost of needles includes the disposal of the old needles. They are very nice. All my animals go here.

Brought my cat here to get spayed and everyone was super nice. They did an amazing job and my cat acted like herself the same night. She isn't in pain at all. The one girl also gave excellent advice on how to take care of her after the surgery. I highly recommend this place above my original vet clinic. They're very affordable too!

I absolutely LOVE the staff at this clinic. The service you receive is caring, compassion and friendly. I have been taking my pets and all of my rescue pets to the Spay Neuter clinic for close to 13 years. I have never once had a bed experience and I know I can always count on their amazing service and knowledge. I feel very much at ease knowing my pets are in such good hands during their procedure and recovery. Not only are their prices the cheapest but they have recently expanded to offer more services at a discount rate!! That really helps someone like myself who rescues and adopts out cats quite often. I'm certainly going to be a life long client!
