After many disappointing Vet experiences- We changed to Avon Lake Animal Clinic and it was the BEST Decision we ever made! Dr Adam Jacin DMV is Personable , knowledgeable, trustworthy and kind to our animals. The staff from the minute we walked in and to reminder calls or to answer any questions— they are professional, caring, considerate and knowledgeable and never seemed rushed or irritated when you ask questions. An excellent vet for exotics and healthy pets, but a poor choice for end of life. I called yesterday to schedule my ferret for euthanasia. I knew it was time. When we arrived, they were very tasteful and private, got us into a room as quickly as possible. The techs seemed well informed and very sensitive. I felt I was making the right choice to humanely send my girl across the rainbow bridge. When the doctor arrived, she was just too eager to light our little tiny spark of hope, talked me and my boyfriend out of euthanasia and sent us home with $300 worth of medication. My ferret died the next morning in a horrible awful way, and I was at work and didn't get to say goodbye. Her last memory of me was being forced to take liquid medicine and liquid diet. I wish she had believed my instincts and understanding that it was "Time" instead of sending us home to suffer together.

I had a sick gecko and after calling about 7-8 places, they were the only ones who would get me in the same day. The doctor was incredibly knowledgeable about the species as well as his particular affliction. I left feeling relieved, confident in his care, and also pleasantly surprised that the bill was very reasonable. They did not nickel and dime me for all the procedures as so many other offices do. I cannot say enough good things about this vet clinic.

Took my father-in-law’s dog for an emergency visit, same day appointment. The staff was very kind and friendly. The late night doctor was phenomenal, and very knowledgeable. They called multiple times in the following days to check on the pups status. We will be switching our own dogs to their facility in the future.
