I cant say enough good things about Dr. Coiro and his staff. They have been caring for our dogs for over twenty years. Dr. Coiro always takes the time to explain everything and answer any questions. I know my dogs are in the best of hands.

my dog started showing symptoms of severe allergies about a year ago. obviously went to the vet to see what was going on. she told me he’s allergic to fleas paid 100s of dollars on flea preventatives, pills, antibiotics, didn’t get better. kept returning showing concerns he wasn’t getting any better and asked if we could do an allergy test to confirm fleas are the problem. the vet told me that an allergy test isn’t necessary and kept telling me he’s allergic to fleas. well about a month ago i finally got sick of seeing my puppy in so much pain so i bought an allergy test online. turns out he’s not allergic to fleas but about everything else including oat which is what i’ve been bathing him in recommended by the vet. i feel horrible and like i’ve been poisoning him. definitely not a horrible vet but will not be returning.

Smithtown Veterinary Hospital groomed my dog Charlie once again perfectly. He came out looking and smelling wonderfully. They even put a Fourth of July bandana on him. The people are very nice.

Great Staff, professional doctors. Been bringing my dogs to Smithaven veterinarian for the last 10 years and I’ve always been satisfied half hour drive but it’s well worth it.

I want to thank Dr. Coiro and his wonderful staff for taking care of my babies as if they were their own. They actually drag me to the door to go in. What dog does that? Lol Highly recommend Smithhaven veterinary hospital!
