How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Pine Woods Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Can't say enough good things about how attentive, caring & knowledgeable they are with your little fur angels! They've kept our 14-year-old Goldendoodle, Oliver, in the best shape possible with hydrotherapy & physical therapy for his doggy arthritis. They always make sure to advise you on best practice for taking care of a senior dog & give you updates after PT, offering any questions you may have. They treat your dogs as if they are their own - that's all you can really ask for! 10/10 would recommend!

Dr. Liz Koelmel and Dr. Becca Gerevics are the best! Both have taken great care of my two pups and I highly recommend the entire Pine Woods staff. I am always put at ease during annual visits - but more importantly when our dogs are under the weather. Very grateful for both Liz and Becca!

Everyone is so nice and helpful. My senior dog tore his CCL and the rehab department did a wonderful job getting him to use his leg again. We avoided surgery and he is like new. He did aqua therapy and a variety of other modalities with his very kind therapist. I was so impressed with this department and glad that it was right in my own backyard to use. I highly recommend the whole practice!

Great service. Everyone is very friendly when you walk in. Staff is very knowledgeable. I like that you go into a room right away and don't have to worry about other people's pets. Have went to other vets in the past and by far Pine Woods is the best.

My pup just went in for a yearly. I was very happy with Dr. Gerevics. She was so friendly, knowledgeable, and took her time with me. I will definitely be asking for her from now on.
