Pure Paws is the best vet in NYC! Our dog Hugo gets so excited to go there and never wants to leave, sitting by the door and refusing to get up. It is all because of the care and love he gets from the vet, tech, and team at Pure Paws. We see Dr. Kurtzman but have seen every vet there and they are all exceptional. Vet tech Andrea has even become a babysitter to Hugo! The team always follows up to check in on Hugo after a visit. They are always available to answer the many questions that come with having a new puppy. Whether he has eaten a sock or just a routine check up, they always have his best interests in mind and are super conscious and respectful of costs and our time. They make insurance reimbursements very easy! If you are in the downtown area, this is the vet you should go to!

Highly recommended. We brought our dog, Ruby, to Pure Paws at Hudson Square and received amazing service. The facility is beautiful, extremely clean and comfortable. The vet tech did a great job of taking our report and answering our questions, and she put Ruby at ease. Then Dr. Wexler did an excellent job assessing and diagnosing Ruby and advising us. She even sat down on the floor with Ruby as they got to know each other. While you never want to go to the vet, if you have to go, this is the place.

I’ve been taking my dog Jackson to Pure Paws Hudson Square for over a year now and cannot say enough good things about them. They always fit us in the same day, all the vets we’ve seen are thorough, caring and transparent about what they’re prescribing. They also take the time to share pricing up front and never pressure me to do more than I’m comfortable with. I highly recommend them for anyone who is looking for a reliable, trustworthy and friendly vet clinic. Thank you to the Pure Paws team for keeping Jackson happy and healthy!

From the first call through the first visit and every visit since, we’ve always experienced a high level of professionalism, warmth, and care at Pure Paws that goes above and beyond what we expected. Dr. Liff came highly recommended by a seasoned NYC veterinarian who advised that “there was nobody better” than Dr. Liff and the experience that we’ve had is consistent with his recommendation. Dr. Liff is an excellent doctor who patiently answers all of your questions and makes you feel confident that you are in great hands. Our dachshund puppy Huck was neutered this week and it was comforting to know for certain that he would be well taken care of and loved while he was getting his surgery and recovering there without us. The staff is also very friendly. One of the admins Curly at the front desk always recalls details about Huck’s personality and growth and Tiffany who makes the follow-up calls is similarly thoughtful and thorough. Each interaction we’ve had with every staff member at Pure Paws has been overwhelmingly positive. We have nothing but good things to say about Pure Paws and we highly recommend.

Pure Paws Hudson Square is hands down the best veterinary experience in the city. From the moment you walk in, the space feels calm, bright, and thoughtfully designed — clean, modern, and genuinely welcoming, which makes such a difference when you’re bringing in your pet. But what truly sets them apart is the people. The entire staff goes above and beyond in a way that feels rare these days. Kerley at the front desk is an absolute standout — she always greets us with the warmest attitude, remembers us, and makes every visit feel easy and positive from the start. Andrea, the vet tech we work with, is equally incredible. She takes the time to walk us through every step of the plan, answers questions thoroughly, and makes sure we feel confident and supported — especially important when you have a young puppy. The follow-up and check-ins are what really sealed it for me. Knowing they’re thinking about us even after the appointment is such a comfort and shows how deeply they care. It truly feels like a family, and we’re so grateful to be part of the Pure Paws community. I couldn’t recommend them more 🐾✨
