I had taken my cat here because he had ingested a cat toy. They diagnosed it promptly and surgery for removal went smoothly. During his days there for recovery he would not eat after removing his tubes. At first they wanted to keep him until he ate food, but after an extra 2 days they felt he was healthy enough to go home where hopefully he would feel more comfortable eating. When I brought him home I went to give him his medications and while giving his first pill it seemed like he was choking on it so I looked into his mouth/throat and I saw a plastic tube in his throat. I began to gently pull a 7 to 10 inch feeding tube out of him. When I called the hospital to tell them they left a feeding tube in him they said it wasn't theirs and he had just been in for eating foreign objects so it had to have happened in my care not theirs. I told them I don't have feeding tubes lying around my house. They asked me to send a picture and to bring it in so they can see the tube. When I brought it in they agreed it was most likely a feeding tube. When I asked for a refund for the extra days they had him I was shrugged off and denied. They took his feeding tube out and for 2 extra days he sat there, he would not eat BECAUSE HE HAD A TUBE IN HIS THROAT. That bill was about $4000. Finance person would not give a portion back and I was forced to pay through care credit.

I can not say enough amazing things about all of the staff members that were working Christmas Eve. At 4:00 in the morning, my husband and I had to rush our 8 1/2 year old Great Dane to Flannery, who was unfortunately suffering the dreaded bloat that all deep chested dog owners fear. From the moment someone answered the phone through the time we picked Diesel up, the service was indescribable. Caring, compassionate, empathetic, attentive, supportive, these are just a handful of adjectives to put into words the care that was provided. With Diesel’s age, my husband and I, along with the surgeon, were concerned with the complications of a surgery that extreme. But precautions were made and it was ruled that there were no tumors or any red flags via X-rays that may have caused complications during surgery. To me, that step right there, spoke many words. Diesel is very active and healthy for his age and we decided to move forward with surgery. Everything went beautifully and the care he was given was beyond phenomenal! We can not thank Flannery enough for being there for us and our beloved Great Dane, Diesel on Christmas Eve.

They were so kind and helpful. They did an amazing job of taking a ridiculous amount of porcupine quills out my dogs face. Before and after pictures.

Rushed my dog there the other night convinced he was in acute CHF and I would be putting him down. Turns out, that wasn’t the case (mom is a bit of a drama queen when it comes to my Mugsy). Everyone was amazing! I’m actually going to switch all of my animals to Flannery for all of their care. 🐶

Unfortunately, our first experience with Flannery was not a happy one on our end. Our dog began having breathing issues and quickly descended into severe CHF. The staff was so quick and compassionate. The vet, even though she was busy with a surgery, came to speak with us twice to answer questions. We didn’t feel rushed or pushed. She was very knowledgeable and straightforward in a much needed way. She explained everything and gave us as much time as we needed. They sent a beautiful card with his footprints. Even though it was a terrible experience as dog owners, I will return to Flannery for care for our other dogs. Thank you for all you do.
