How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Tillou Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I have been taking my pups to Dr. Tillou for 4 years now. They have such friendly staff and they answer all your questions without rushing you out the door. They also don't force things your animals don't need on you. My last 2 vets were a cash grab and it was awful. I had finally had enough and a guy at work mentioned Tillou veterinary hospital and I couldn't believe how much better of an experience I had. The minute you get there they are leading you to your room. Most of the time Dr. Tillou is waiting for you unless they have an emergency which is understandable. So if you want a vet that's honest and won't overcharge you for things you don't need and really cares for you're pets I highly recommend Dr. Tillou.

What an amazing first experience. Friendly and clean. Quite welcoming waiting area. Also, quiet. 😊 Our Vet was kind, professional, and communicable. She introduced herself, took time to listen, guided us through our visit and the decisions needed. I felt welcome and Onyx was considerably more calm than he's ever been at his Pet Dr. Our checkout experience was pleasant, as well. None of the *hurry up*, or side-eye because we were short and fumbling through cards to pay. We had an unexpected test done and it was a Thursday...day before payday. It happens. The staff made us feel comfortable and respected. Thank you Tillou!!

I have been going to Tillou Veterinary Hospital for over 20 years. I cannot say enough about this practice. They have always taken the best care of my dogs and I never had any unnecessary procedures or medications pushed on me. Jess sees Dr. Caldwell and absolutely loves her. Dr. Caldwell takes the time to listen and always addresses my concerns making sure I leave feeling fully comfortable. I trust my pets health with them 100%. The staff is wonderful too....especially Judy. She ALWAYS goes above and beyond.

Have been to many over my all but 60yrs. Dr Tillou may not be the biggest "people person" when 1st meeting him--but an amazing Vet AND person once you get to know him. Cares very much about the animals he cares for. Hate that I have forgotten name of other Vet there--but amazing as well. Highly recommended in my opinion.

Called to get my dog tick medicine for this year and they wanted me to do a well visit which was fine. They then proceed to list their protocols off about their policy’s when you come in, and she proceeds to tell me I can’t have my 8 month old daughter come to the appointment with me (who mind you isn’t even able to walk and would be in her car seat the whole appointment). Seems a little dramatic to still have these covid policy’s in order when the pandemic is well over with… Will be taking my business else where to somewhere that doesn’t discriminate towards family’s with small children. I would suggest anyone who has kids does the same.
