How to Save Money at Mobile Veterinary Animal Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
We were looking for a local veterinarian and found Dr. Cortez. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the two young women at the front desk. The clinic is very cozy and feels very home-like. My puppy felt comfortable throughout the whole visit. The Dr. and staff were very knowledgeable , friendly, and attentive. They answered all of our questions and gave us suggestions. We will return in about a month for more vaccines. I was very happy with this visit as opposed to other brand name Vets in the area. The entire staff felt like they really cared and took their time with us. Definitely would recommend.

It was great experiment with Dr. Cortez who provide excellent quality of care to my 15 years old shiz tuz. He has on and off coughing at day and night. Dr. Cortez even delivered the care to my place and always check my dog’s health condition and regular basis. I can see the changes with the secretion color and my dog can sleep at least 6 hours without cough and trouble breathing at night. Thank you so much!!!

Doctor Cortes is an excellent veterinarian, He is caring, talented, available… My wife and I are privileged to live with a clowder of cats (10 @ last count) and we have entrusted him with their care and well-being. He always comes through for them. Recently, our nineteen year old furry feline became ill; Doctor Cortes answered the phone immediately, offered an opinion and prescribed medication (until we were able to get to his office). Amazingly, he also makes house calls!!!!

The vets and staff are very professional and compassionate. I've been taking my one dog recently for cancer. They have been amazing. They're always so caring and follow up on my dog. I couldn't recommend a more professional or caring clinic. Thanks guys ! Mark & Lana

Barely two months later and I’m already seeing the consequences of the drs negligence. I typically only take my dog in to get her allergy shot at this location and the last time I went in, I paid the check up fee and he didn’t even take her temperature or so much as touch my dog and do any type of general check up. He didn’t check her ears, her mouth, didn’t feel for any lumps and bumps yet I still paid the full check up fee. Then when he goes to apply the Cytopoint injection, my dog is very nervous and fidgety and it’s only the two of us in the office- he doesn’t call for an extra set of hands or assistance. He just pokes my dog in the leg, she starts wiggling and he doesn’t finish administering the injection. He pulled the needle out and then pokes her again somewhere else as I’m trying to hold and console her and it was just extremely unprofessional and rushed- again not administering the full injection smoothly. Not much time has passed and what usually lasts a good 4 months to relieve my dogs itchy skin, has only lasted barely 2 months as I’m seeing her scratch herself. All because the dr couldn’t have a bit more patience, let alone do what he was charging me for. I can’t remember the drs name but he’s the only Asian vet there I believe. I will not be returning, I can’t even trust them to administer a simple injection that she’s received many times before.
