Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

I can not thank them enough for the patience and care they gave us as non-regular patients.. Sadly, it was a first and last for our beloved Haru. BUT he and we were treated like long-time patients, the care we were shown. I just wish we had been with them sooner.

I love this place! Staff was super nice and attentive! My little chihuahua Lola had a abscess on her upper back molar. Her tooth was rotten and I had no clue until she got a "knot" on her little cheek. They informed me that chihuahuas often suffer from rotten teeth. Which made me feel better! She had to have surgery and get some teeth pulled. Each employee including the dog-tor (hehe) made sure I knew the steps to prepare for the surgery and post care for the surgery! My little pea gained all her weight back and her face is normal again! I am super thankful and will forever take my animals to this facility for all my emergencies and care!! I love them so much!!

If I could give zero stars I would. I went with my grandma to pick up her dogs from their overnight stay. The first front desk lady was very rude toward my grandma. Then they said that one of our dogs had to be tested, so we could get more medication for her. It took an hour for the vet to see us. There were no other animals in sight. Once the vet saw us he checked our dogs heart and told us stuff we already knew, then tried to get us to schedule a tooth extraction appointment. My grandma then told the vet about our dog’s condition, and that she couldn’t get her teeth extracted because she would die. The vet then told my grands to “sit and stay”, like she was a dog. I was so shocked that they were talking to us that way. We then waited 30 minutes to get our dog’s medication. We could hear them talking about my grandma and I while we waited. In the meantime our dog had not been let out and peed on the floor; we had to clean it up. The vets assistant was also very rude when giving us the medication. She was very unprofessional and acted as if we were stupid. We still had to get our other two dogs. Once we were out of the testing room there was a new front desk lady and the two of them were very polite. I don’t think we will be coming back. There was a very high lack of respect from most of the staff, witch created a very unprofessional environment.

I took my emotional support dog Peaches in for her vaccinations today and the visit was incredible! While the staff is always welcoming and more than considerate, and the facilities are always immaculate. We were able to see the owner and resident vet, Dr. Janeen Counts. Dr. Counts was very caring and considerate with us and when she found out my financial situation she was able to facilitate pulling three of Peaches teeth that were getting bad at no cost to me. I want her to know how much Peaches and I appreciate her assistance and I would recommend Canyon Crossroads Animal Hospital to anyone seeking care for their fur babies of any kind! Most sincerely, Grady L. Holmes

They do not deserve any stars at all. One of the few vets in the Albuquerque area that treats exotic birds, they do not make time for emergencies. They had no qualms telling me they were booked for the next 2 months and for me to look for a different place. And that after I told the receptionist I had already tried 10 different vets in the city. Cat attacks on parrots are always life threatening emergencies. They had no problem sending me away and letting my bird die. No compassion, no care. Do NOT go here!
