How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Twin Oaks Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Love the doctor here and Sandra in the front desk is a lovely person. I am not sure where we would be at with our rescues without this Vet. Thank you doctor for helping us with Blinky's eye surgery, and for everything else you do to help us care for our rescues.

Positive experience. Had a feral female yard cat spayed, along with shots, nails clipped, flea med application, etc . Very fair pricing for feral cats, everything was done in less than 1 day----- Updated on 10-28-2021 --- Ellie, The daughter of Lacey ( Mom laying cloth in pic) has just been spayed today, and also have had a positive experience. The Doctor/Vet who performs the surgery does a very good job. -- Overall my only recommendation for Twin Oaks, is to have someone dedicated to the phones & appointment scheduling and customer receiving. Overall I know they are busy all the time, but the "process could be made easier for Twin Oaks and the customer ( maybe handheld computer tablet to be used for appointment checks, when customers arrive in the parking lot, or something)

Woman who answered the phone is beyond rude and aggressive. She starting screaming at me and hung up the phone on me. Apparently, they only work with "rescues" now, and don't offer low cost vet services to the public anymore either. So, what are pet owners supposed to do? Every low cost service is closed...and they don't even have the patience to explain or to recommend a different place to go. Im in tears because they screamed and wouldn't help me...or at least be kind & understanding. Cruel people.

Haven't been there physically for years but the experience since the start of COVID and going forward is horrible. They keep trying to bill me for the same invoice even though I paid it the day of service, May 2019, and they keep sending me emails asking me to pay. They also rudely denied an urgent request for an appointment when I thought something was seriously wrong with my cat (there was) and told me to go somewhere else as they already had a few appointments.

Kind staff. I go there to spay/neuter ferral cats. Staff freely advised on my dog's nails. Generous with information. Sometimes can be busy on Monday late afternoon- so call ahead to make sure animal is ready for pickup. Check for limited weekend hours.
