I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Shendell and her staff at Martinsville Veterinary Hospital. From the moment you walk through the door, you feel welcomed, cared for, and truly valued as part of their veterinary family. Dr. Shendell is not only incredibly knowledgeable and thorough with her exams, but her compassion and genuine love for animals shines through in every interaction. The staff is equally outstanding. Josh, Chris, Kory, Brianna and Fritz are all kind, attentive and professional. They treat every pet as if they were their own. Martinsville Veterinary Hospital is truly a special place, and I’m so grateful to have found a team like them. I whole heartedly recommend Dr. Shendell to anybody who has a furry friend at home!

I have never been to a vet where they have cared so deeply for their animals. They treat each and every one of them as if it were their own. Each and every member of their team here is so welcoming and so sweet and caring to not only just our pet but to us as well. The place makes you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. They know what they are doing here and they work quick to solve any problems you may have with your animal. They went above and beyond to save our husky’s life and we will be forever grateful for them. You will not regret choosing them as a vet I promise.

We love Martinsville Vetrinary Hospital and the amazing staff there. Dr. Shendell is so helpful at explaining test results and complex medical issues with all of our fury friends- she always seems to have time for our questions. Wallie and Mike LOVE her, and the whole staff! He jumps up on the counter to beg for treats from Brianna, and he is always licking Cory and Fritz. Wonderful practice! So organized and compassionate.

Dr. Shendell and the team at Martinsville Veterinary Hospital are the best! We've been taking our puppy here since she was 2 months old, and Dr. Shendell has helped us through quite a few health issues. She's always happy to answer questions and is great at explaining test results and treatment plans. Everyone here is so caring and makes us feel right at home. Our very anxious dog actually likes going to the vet because she gets to see some of her favorite people! Would definitely recommend Dr. Shendell to anyone looking for an amazing vet.

I'm very disheartened by the care of this vet hospital. Instead of helping, showing care and being upfront about the situation, they caused an extreme amount of stress and worry. After tests were done, the clinic refused to release results, it is unacceptable to withhold important health information especially when the clinic is saying the pets health and well-being is at risk (they said the test results were alarming but refused to release them). There was a lack of communication, and compassion. Based on this experience I do not recommend bringing your pup here.
