My previous review still stands but I wanted to update it to give Dr. Nordt accolades for getting me in the same day with my male cat who was having UTI symptoms they were once again so friendly, talked directly to me and based on my observations and her knowledge we were able to get my cat medicine and he is feeling so much better now!!! Thank you again! This is the best vet I have experienced in a decade! Today we had to put our 13 year old hound dog Sydney to sleep, the worst part of being a pet parent, she had extensive terminal lymphoma discovered in October. As someone who has been to another vet in the same situation with another dog, I have to say you need to go to doctor Sloan and the staff at this vet. They were so kind, caring, compassionate, giving us hugs, and all the treats to our girl before she went off to the rainbow bridge. Everyone was in tears. They are the most supportive, caring vet I have been to in a long time. They truly treat all of our animals and especially our girl today, like their own. Pictured below is Sydney getting her "pup cup" last week.

Can't beat Dr. Nordt and staff, she really loves the animals and works hard to make sure they're safe and healthy. She even assists with community cats when she's able. Top notch doc!

If you want truly knowledgeable, caring and thorough veterinarian to take care of your beloved pets then dr. Lori Nordt would be your best choice. The level of her expertise and compassion is beyond the realm and I really am happy that we found the specialist who provides highest quality of surgical and therapeutic treatments. We rescued young homeless cat with severe entropion of both eyes, a very painful and dangerous condition that might cause blindness. The first eye surgery at different clinic was not done right and we desperately needed a responsible doctor who would correct it to insure our cat would not suffer from pain and loss of vision. Dr. Nordt was recommended to us by the owner of rescue facility that saves hundreds of animals every year since 1970s. It truly was a blessing to become a customer of Atlantic Animal Health Center, all ladies in the clinic are very nice and professional, we especially appreciate Lori and Karen for their kindness and care. Our kitty is doing great and we can’t be happier now! Thank you so much for your excellent work and support, it means a world to us to have trusted and experienced people like you❤️

Dr. Nordt left us waiting for over an hour two visits in a row. We left without seeing her on the second visit. Her staff gave my dog a number of shots without her or another licensed veterinarian on the premises. One of her employees explained to me that she is unreliable and I should come back on a Monday or Tuesday when Dr. Sloan was there. I was charged an examination fee that I had to return to get refunded. Dr. Nordt called 8 hours after our scheduled appointment with a feeble attempt at an apology for letting us down. She would not answer my question when I asked if it was just unprofessional or illegal for unlicensed employees to administer vaccines. She claimed she was in the office when I went back for my refund, but when I returned the receptionist was still explaining to someone on the phone they did not know when she would arrive. A visit to the vet can be very stressful for our animal friends. This is something I would expect a veterinarian to understand. Lies from Dr. Nordt and her staff trying to cover for her lack of professionalism and reliability are simply unacceptable to this dog dad.

My best bud, and fur man, Aodhan received excellent care and compassion from Dr. Lori and staff today. He had a cleaning and required extractions too. Staff kept me informed, and showed concern for me and my fur baby. I can’t thank Dr. Lori enough for her support, during this stressful period. I highly recommend her office to anyone seeking vet services.
