How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Fredon Animal Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I have been a client of Fredon AH, and specifically Dr. Grau, for about 6 years. The practice is a “best kept secret” of Sussex County! They are affordable, allowing people to actually care for and treat their pets. Dr. Grau’s ability to connect with her patients exceeds the norm, in my opinion. Her expertise and staying current in her field are constantly reassuring. Her non-egotistical attitude is refreshing. The compassion she demonstrates is unwavering. She is open to listening and trying different things outside of the box if it benefits her patients. I trust her implicitly with my dog and any other animals I have had or rescued. My large breed dog, now 14, would not still be here if were not for her. I continually recommend people to them, even if they are not accepting new clients at the moment! I cannot say enough good about her entire practice, and her as a veterinarian and a human being!

Love this place. I've had other vets, hands down this is the best vet. We travel 35 minutes just to go here but worth every penny. Prices are in the lower end.

Excellent care and reasonable prices. I drive an hour to get here because they're so much better than the 5 vets I pass on my way.

Took my puppy there for a checkup and everyone was just so nice, and down to earth. The vet was kind and everything seemed to be so smooth and organized! Not to mention clean. Can’t wait to continue taking her here and Have everyone watch her grow. Thank you all for your kindness!!!

I tried to book a checkup and tooth cleaning/extraction for my dog as a new customer but due to my work schedule (mon-fri) I cannot make it in on weekdays due to time I get out of work (only weekends). I was advised that because I am a new patient, I am NOT allowed to book an appointment on a weekend. Weekend appointments are ONLY for existing members. It's a shame because I heard such good things about this place and was looking forward to finding my local vet here. Maybe it's for the best. I guess I will have to keep searching...
