Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

We were staying in Seaside Park, our vet is in Northern Jersey ,and we needed a local vet for Finn. His claw was bleeding, and no one could fit us in. Bayville Vet did, and we were thrilled. The receptionist, vet tech, and Dr McDowell were all wonderful! They were so kind, and gentle! I was very pleasantly surprised at the price of the visit, and how well we were treated. Five stars!

In an industry that runs on care, Bayville Veterinary Hospital is a rare gem. Everyone I've ever interacted with these is wonderful and there's no one I trust more with the welfare of my animals. They've always been accommodating and understanding, and most importantly they care about their patients! They have reasonable prices for care and obviously are quite good at what they do, as their reviews are always stellar.

Have been with Dr. McDowell for 30 years. Now his daughter took over the practice. Great caring doctors. I travel 35 minutes to go to them. Well worth the trip. Highly recommend.

Dr. B McDowell is a caring physician. He was in diabetic ketosis and she tried a few days of subcutaneous fluid therapy but he still didn't respond to it. She saved our little Milo by recommending us to take him to Garden state vet hospital in Tinton falls as soon as we can. And so we did and now after his recent follow up with Dr. McDowell, she said he is doing great! The staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended them. Thank you 😊.
