How to Save on Veterinary Costs at LoTe Veterinary End-of-Life Care

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Our children grew up with a very loyal and loving Collie. Dr. Tricia loaned books to our children about losing a pet, as well as a provided a special paw print in plaster, nose prints in ink we had framed, and clips of hair for the children to keep. Dr. Tricia is so attentive, that even the paperclip for the ink prints had a beautiful little heart. Her condolence card had wildflower seeds we could grow to remember our pet by. It is rare today, to meet a true professional that goes above and beyond just the service they provide. Having our pet at home, surrounded by family, was a true blessing.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this review as we are still grieving our loss, however, I wanted to highlight the professionalism, compassion and care Dr. Tricia gave to our cat Gunner at the end of his life. I had researched options for in-home pet euthanasia and finally selected LoTe Veterinary End-of-Life Care. Dr. Tricia explained the process before and during the transition. She was compassionate and gave us as much time with Gunner as we wanted and was careful with him throughout the process. She even took the time to text us the next morning to see if we were ok and if the delivery to Rolling Acres went smoothly. We are so grateful to her for assisting us with saying goodbye to our beloved fur baby. He passed peacefully surrounded by love. Doug & Kelly Silva

My German Shepherd was diagnosed with cancer. It was more aggressive than I anticipated and I needed to humanely end her life much sooner than I had thought. Dr. Tricia made arrangements to come to my home that day to limit the pain and suffering. She was gentle, caring and compassionate. She removed my dog for private cremation and returned her directly to me with a sweet sympathy card. I would highly recommend her services.

Two months ago, the time had come for my old man Cooper to be able to pass in the comfort of our home. Dr. Trisha was so flexible that day and able to give me additional time with Cooper. When she arrived at the house she was informative, professional and compassionate about the process, during the process and after—giving me and my other dogs time with Cooper. Cooper’s passing was comfortable for him and as hard as it was on me, the process was went well. Dr. Trisha was a miracle for me that day—to not have to take Cooper to the vet clinic was exactly what all of us needed. I am so grateful that she offers this service in Lincoln and that she was available to give Cooper the passing he deserved.

What a gift Dr. Tricia is to our community! I had never even heard of in-home pet euthanasia until I was faced with the heartbreak of losing our beloved cat to terminal disease. A moment I had been dreading turned out to be a beautiful, peaceful, and gentle transition. Dr. Tricia has a gift and clearly loves what she does. She is professional, kind, calming, and efficient. Don’t hesitate to contact her.
