How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Park Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I have been taking our dogs to Park Vet for almost a year now, and they are wonderful. We have seen multiple veterinarians since coming to them, and all have been easy to work with and very helpful. The techs and staff are also extremely kind and clearly care about our dogs’ well-being. They take care to make my dogs comfortable and happy, helping to ease their anxiety during appointments. Additionally, they have been willing to advise me over the phone when I’ve had acute concerns and are very responsive both over the phone and through email. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone in the area!

Nathan was an extraordinary assistant to my cat Obie! He totally related to Obie and gave some very useful tips and inspiration. He definitely is in the correct position working with animals!

Park Vet has always taken care of our pets in a loving manner; and we have had bad experiences with other vets;so to experience an entire team who understand how to handle animals in a fear free way...it's amazing! Our greatest thanks go to Dr.Hunt, Dr.Crockett & all the Park Vet team! Chris, Jim, Spices, Cooper, Mason, & Layla

We love this Vet. They are friendly, very well organized and in general a happy place to take our doggo to be seen. Our doggy was a shelter dog, so entering anyplace that is different can be difficult. I really love how the staff greets the animal as well as the person. This really helps to break our baby's tension and our visits are much easier. The Veterinarians here are professional, yet personal. I want my girl to have the best dedicated medical team and Park Veterinary Hospital gives her this. Finally, how can you go wrong with the team that brings us all the best puns in Durham?

The entire staff that we worked with were amazing! We went in as an urgent visit. They had never seen us or our pet before. That fact did not change how they cared for her. They were very thorough, willing to assess her, explain their findings, the diagnosis and possible outcomes between then and her end of life. We appreciate very much the thorough and loving nature of the staff.
