Dr. Benítez is a skilled surgeon. She is very personable, compassionate and maintains consistent communication. Years ago, she performed a TPLO surgery for Olivia, our Lab/Pit mix dog. The result was perfect and our experience with Dr. Benítez was memorable. Recently our cat, Dapper Dan, had bladder block issues and needed to have the PU surgery. We were very happy to find out that Dr. Benítez would be doing this surgery! She communicated with us prior to the surgery and answered all of our questions. She thoroughly explained the healing process and set realistic expectations for us. During the recovery time, Dr. Benítez was always available for any questions we had. There were some complications on the road to recovery and we needed a secondary procedure to help Dapper Dan heal. Dr. Benítez and her husband, Dr. Tempel, met us over the weekend for this additional procedure. They were both so kind and caring. We really felt their hearts and their love for what they do. Dapper Dan is fully recovered because of Dr. Benítez and he is living his best life! Forever thankful, The Menza Family

Dr. Benitez performed an ear surgery on my cat, and exceeded my expectations. I was so nervous about the outcome, but she was so kind and assuring. My kitty is now feeling so much better and her recovery went beautifully. 🫶🏼

Wow! I am beyond impressed with Dr Benitez and Dogwood Veterinary Surgical Care. Our 1 1/2 year old lab required TPLO surgery and we didn’t really know what to expect. Dr Benitez walked us through the procedure and the recovery process and was very patient with all our questions and concerns. She followed up to make sure he didn’t have any complications and to just put our minds at ease (which was greatly appreciated). He just had his 8 week post TPLO X-rays and he is doing amazing. Soon he will be able to all the things he has missed out on for the last few months. We are forever grateful for the excellent care she took of our dog Blue.

Dr. Benitez did the TECA surgery on our 12 yr old Havanese baby. She was so informative, confident, and sensitive to our concern, it really put us at ease. I highly recommend her for advanced surgical needs.🐾💕😀. So cute with his business on the right party on the left haircut!

Dr Benitez is the best vet surgeon in Charlotte. She performed 2 TPLO/Dog ACL surgeries for my Rottweiler almost two years ago. At first I was nervous about get the procedure done, but Dr Benitez explained everything to me in detail and what I should expect. She was also available whenever I called with questions. I'm glad we chose her to help my dog Zoe. My dog and been playing and running around as if nothing ever happened to her. I would highly recommend her if your dog is in need of surgery.
