How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Albemarle Animal Clinic
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

My dog ran away and was found by someone who, thankfully, took her to this clinic. Due to other circumstances, I was not able to pick her up right away. However, the clinic has kept her through the night and they’ve been so warm and welcoming when I’ve spoken to them on the phone. I appreciate this clinic so, so much for taking care of my crazy pup (very crazy lol). Queen or “Blooper” has probably thoroughly enjoyed her slumber party there. And if you’re the person who found her and see this, thank you for taking her to be scanned for a microchip. Thank you for not just leaving her or taking her home with you. We’re grateful for you and the clinic.

My son and I found a kitten beside the road and decided to keep it. I called the clinic and they were able to see us the same afternoon. The kitten had more health issues than we realized and needed to be euthanized. The vet was kind and didn’t even charge us for the visit. It was a sad experience, but their kindness made it easier.

Went there for my 14 year old dog as she was in pain from a bloated belly, due to heart problems. We were sure she would have to be euthanized for the heart problems happened over a year ago and as a trooper she held on. But the belly problem was unreasonable. They had the nerve to refuse her because we had taken her to Biscoe. No compassion here. Don't take your animals here. Again worst place I have ever visited.

The lady I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude. I had a medical concern question and she said she couldn’t answer it, and then hung the phone up but as soon as I called another clinic, they had no problem answering my question with professionalism and niceness. Don’t go here.!!!!!!
