How to Save Money at Foley Boulevard Animal Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
All the staff at Foley Blvd Animal Hospital have been so wonderful to work with. They genuinely care about all the animals they see. They take the time to listen and get to you the owners and pets, and care so deeply. They remember from one apt to the next and make sure all items are covered. My pup on her way to the vet for her shots and sleeping them off afterward! Sweet girl.

I took both of my cats to this vet based on the positive reviews, but I need to urge people not to go here. Unfortunately I have had nothing but horrible experiences at this vet. My partner and I have faced bullying from several receptionists and their office manager. Every staff member, doctors, techs, and receptionists alike are all rude and sometimes downright mean. I had to fight for over a year to get care for my cat, who was in constant pain. His eyes bled everyday, yet this clinic preyed on his need for immediate care and told us he needed several things (that cost several thousands of dollars in the long run) that were not even related to the problem. His herpes (which caused his eye issues and constant pain) were cleared immediately once we changed vets. They also ordered X-rays, an echocardiogram, and HOURS worth of unnecessary tests on our other cat at his post-adoption check-up. All he had was an ear infection. And they took hundreds of my dollars and hours of my time telling me that he was horribly sick when HE WASN'T. The cruelty that my cat had to experience that day is heartbreaking. They prey on people who genuinely care about their pets and will take every cent possible from you. They will deliberately not care for your animal's needs so that you keep coming back. Both of my cats experienced horrible vet related anxiety, which they DID NOT HAVE before our experiences at Foley Boulevard. I will never forgive myself for allowing sadistic doctors to mistreat my animals, my partner, and I. They don't do ANY part of the exam in the room with you (not even things like weighing/just looking things over, like looking in their ears and stuff)... Wonder why my cats were so afraid to go (let me note that they are very social and have always loved going to other vets)? Unfortunately, not showing you any of what they do, ordering hundreds of dollars of tests on a healthy animal, intentionally not treating actual health concerns, never being upfront about the cost, keeping my cats there for several hours (causing them to stop eating for days after because it stressed them out so badly), verbally abusing my partner and I, and several more things are enough for me to say with confidence that no one at this clinic wishes to care for your animals. Please do not bring your animals here if you wish for them to receive the kindness and care that they deserve. We have found wonderful success at River Rapids Pet and Animal Eye Specialty Center, where my cats are genuinely loved and respected. I can't believe that such a horrible vet clinic as Foley Boulevard is still in business. Your staff should truly be ashamed of the harm that they cause.

Everyone was super nice and compassionate when we brought our dog in to be put to sleep. The veterinarian doctor was awesome! She was very thorough about the procedure and told us that we could take all the time needed with our fur baby. I highly recommend this pet hospital to anyone looking for animal care.

I started bringing my senior dog and 3 cats here IDK several months ago. We've had a few visits. I highly recommend these guys. All of the staff members are always kind, understanding, and come access as hard workers dedicated to there patients. Cost of care is usually a concern for most of us. I'm also very pleased as far as the prices go here. They definitely do not upcharge They also give me pricing right up front and explain the treatment being advised. If you're looking for a new vet this is a great place to go.

The staff and vet were amazing. I felt like they really cared about my dog. They also let me know what each service was going to cost prior to performing. I thought an ear recheck would be cheaper than it was. 64.00 for them to look in her ears send kinda high but I plan on using Foley Blvd animal hospital in the future.
