How to Save Money at Country Cat Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
We were looking for a Feline only clinic after we adopted our purebred Seal point Siamese cat. The breeder (Katz Meow Cattery) had a feline-only vet for all of her cats. We wanted the same and that one was too far away from where we live. Did a Google search and Bingo, Country Cat Clinic just a few miles away. Made an appointment for a first evaluation/meet and greet. Great location in a rural area with farms and horses. Nice quaint building. Very friendly staff. Julie the certified Vet Tech was really nice. Treated our Chelsea really well. Dr. Jennifer Travers was so nice, caring, and thorough in her evaluation check-up. Spent time just to get to know us and our Chelsea. Both Julie and Dr. Travers sat on the floor with our cat. Never had that before. Knowledgeable caring staff in all ways. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice view out the window. We are so happy to be here and will be coming back for all of our cat's needs. Thank you Country Cat Clinic. It is very nice and reassuring to be in a clinic that knows and understands Cats. 09/16/2022 Another great check up at this perfect Veterinary Clinic. We are sooo Glad we have this clinic. Fantastic staff and Doctors. Simply the best.

Very thankful I found this cat clinic! The clinic itself is very quaint and has a calm vibe, along with beautiful birds and nature surrounding it. The entire staff was very kind and the nurses were all super sweet with my Millie girl. Went for a second opinion after going to a vet who was not capable of diagnosing her nonetheless examining her (due to her spit fire attitude with strangers and anxiety). They would put her in a room alone for an hour and waited until she would “chill out” and would always make comments upon her arrival about her “bad rep”.. Although a little difficult to get her out of the crate, she did very well and even allowed Dr. Larson to pet her, and examine. Dr. Larson is a gem. She came in very calm and asked a lot of questions which I always appreciate. She befriended Millie with a Churu cat treat and even provided some grade A catnip (my cat was drooling and I’ve never seen this, lol). Additionally I saw everything from cat calming mists to whip cream. They have everything you could think of. She went through all of Millie’s previous history and provided a lot of great information on her condition as well as behavioral health information. We now have a plan of action on how to treat Millie. I am very optimistic and can’t think this cat clinic enough, and Dr. Larson. You all were definitely meant to do what you do. Thank you all so much!!

I brought Lucky near the last few appointments of her life. I didn’t like the former vet clinic I had for her. When it was time to bring in my baby at the end, they took such good care of Lucky AND ME! They sent me a card at my home with words and photos on the cover of the 2 cats on the card to console me! On the card looked just like Lucky and the other one looked just like my Tootsie that had died in 2015 (and they never even met Tootsie!)🥲🥲 Today Country Cat takes care of my Sucre.

Our kitties have been patients of Country Cat Clinic for over 6 years. I am updating my previous review to say how happy I still am with this great cat clinic! I brought my adorable kittie: Caden in for a check-up. He is very shy and frightened easily. Dr. Travers is so gentle and calm, Caden soon became calm, too! I was so surprised! The clinic is very clean and the staff are so kind. He was so proud of himself when we came home :) Thank you, Country Cat Clinic!

They take excellent care of my elderly cat! I have him shaved twice a year because his hair is so long, it keeps him cool in summer and cleaner potty wise too! He loves the attention, and the treats too!
