How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Kalamazoo Cat Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Kalamazoo Cat Hospital has been there for me since my first cat Rocky, who was born with FeLV and wasn't expected to live more than 6 months. He lived a year and a half and the support and care I had from the team during and right after his life was incredible. I took my current cat, Maven, there as soon as I got her and they were more than accepting of my heightened concerns and additional vaccine requests because of mine and Rocky's history. The only reason I am leaving is because I now live in Detroit, but I will be back if I ever return to the zoo. I highly recommend this cat hospital for compassionate care, realistic expectation setting and reasonable prices. RIP Rocky, I miss you every single day ❤️🩹

We wouldn’t trust our kitties to anyone else. When it comes to compassionate care we never have to worry. We’ve been going to KCH since 2012. The office is clean and friendly and the vet staff are top notch. Also is you have an opportunity to chat with Brittani and Lisa you’ll know why we love it here. Everyone is like family. Everyone has their own pets and our kitties are loved on like their pets.

A serious health concern was quickly addressed and was referred to a clinic more suitable for emergencies. Glad to say Cloud is doing much better and will be coming home this afternoon. Thank you so much.

Have been taking my two cats here for 13 years as they are fantastic in treating them. Prior visits to other vet hospitals were unacceptable to me as they did more with dogs than cats and I was not satisfied with the service there. At KL Hospital, the Vets are attentive to my cats’ needs and know how to heal them. I trust their counsel and their service. Highly recommend them for your cat’s health needs as they all work as a team and provide outstanding service at reasonable prices!

I am writing this review as a heartbroken parent and grandparent. My daughter rescued a tiny, severely underweight kitten with the hope of giving it as a special gift to my husband. She wanted to do the right thing, so she took this fragile little life to this clinic, trusting the veterinarian’s decades of experience. Instead of showing compassion and caution, they gave this half-sized kitten vaccines, flea medication, and other treatments that her weak little body simply couldn’t handle. Just a few hours later, the kitten died in my daughter’s arms in front of my grandkids. No parent/grandparent should have to watch their children suffer through the grief of holding a beloved pet as it takes its last breath — especially when the loss was preventable. My daughter trusted this clinic to provide care, but instead she walked away with nothing but heartbreak, guilt, and an empty space where joy should have been. This was negligence. This was carelessness. And it was cruel. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone who loves their animals. Please read the other negative reviews and know what you are walking into before you put your pet’s life in their hands.
