How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Advanced Animal Emergency
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Breed Specific Health Considerations
Some breeds may be more prone to certain health conditions. Early awareness can help with prevention and early treatment.

I can’t say enough about the staff at Advanced Animal Emergency. My cat Luna had stopped eating, so I took her to her regular vet who let me know she had a really bad UTI and a double ear infection. After 5 days on antibiotics she seemed to be getting worse, so I took her here. I’d previously taken her here when she had another bad UTI & they helped her recover from that one. I adopted Luna 7 years ago and she had had kidney disease the whole time which I was managing with diet. Luna was with them this time for three nights & during her time there they kept me updated about her progress & made sure I knew what they were doing for her & the options available to me to try and help her. The vets called me with updates a couple time a day, I could call them if I wanted to talk to a vet tech and never felt like a bother…everyone there was sincere & helpful the whole time. I felt like the whole staff really cared about my girl & trying to help her, but this time her little body was just too tired. When it came time to have to make the decision no pet parent wants to make, everyone was kind, compassionate & sympathetic. This was a hard week and today is a really horrible day, but they made things a little bit easier for me.

I WISH I COULD GIVE 6 STARS This is the best pet hospital i have ever been to. The care of the staff is so amazing, from the front desk to the nurses and doctors. I called here about my dog Toby (which all of the staff seems to know by name now lol) because he was insanely sick and I was sure he was going to need to be put down. They kept toby for DAYS in their care trying everything they could to beat his Pancreatitis, Diabetes, and UTI. My dog was barely able to walk into this facility, not eating and throwing up. He walked out with his tail wagging, hes been eating some food again and his diabetes is beginning to be under control as we continue to work with this hospital. I cannot thank the people here enough for not only the support they showed my dog but the support they gave my family during a hard time. Thank you for never giving up on my dog. Also, they keep their picnic area very clean.

I have to write this review even though my daughter already wrote one. my husband and I were out of town when my dog Toby got sick. she took him to our regular vet, said he needed to be hospitalized. She took him to Pet Urgent Care in Troy and they kept him over night and discharged him stating that he was stable. I spoke with my daughter the next morning and he was FAR from stable. She took him to AAE where they literally saved his life. We rushed home from Florida and thought he was going to need euthanasia (and the staff were not judging if we went that route bc he was so sick). they laid out tx options and prices, and gave me time to choose. I wanted to do everything I could for this good boy, knowing that he may not even pull though, but that was MY choice. NO ONE pushed me to spend the amount that I did. Toby has been home for 2 days now and is getting back to his normal self after being hospitalized for 5 days. he is not out of the woods yet, but im hopeful. EVERYONE here was very caring and have been amazing from the front desk to the techs to the doctors. I appreciate everything that you all did, and so does Toby.

My little Briewer Uni Rose Lentine {German Yorkie) was admitted Saturday on April 21 2025 . I had no idea what was happening to her. She was rolling on the floor and could not stand up. I was scared to death. The hospital took her right away and she stayed the night. The prognosis was most likely vertigo.. I had no clue dogs as they get older get that. I was to say that Dr Dan Van (?) not sure the complete spelling of his last name and the entire staff was phenomenal . I had heard through the past negatives about the place but to my surprise I would rate them 5 stars, My little fur baby is doing so much better and her own personal vet said they did everything she would of. Since my little fur baby experience there I have heard from a few friends that they love the place and the staff that their furbabi s have received great care also and they also love the staff. Thank you for everything and everyone who works there from the front desk all the way to the doctor. You ladies and gentlemen are the best. I’m so ever grateful in a time of great need and stress. Utmost respect for you all.! Sincerely Linda Lentine and Uni Rose

The staff here is extremely compassionate and attentive. I brought a dog I was pet-sitting for here when he had a seizure, and the staff immediately took him to the back and hooked him up to an IV. They were very good at explaining everything to me and keeping me updated on how he was doing. When I picked him up the next morning, they thoroughly explained how to care for him at home, etc. It was so refreshing being in a place where the staff is so kind and understanding.
