Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

If I could give No Stars I would. Our beloved dog was run over. That was the closest Vets so immediately we went there when we realized the Emergency Vet was closed. There were barely any cars in the driveway. They turned us away. They wouldn't even treat him. I Would Never Recommend this Vet to anyone! VCA SUCKS!

I can't say enough great things about the staff here. Our gsd was always a nervous wreck at vets and somehow they turned this all around, they are so amazing with her. She actually enjoys them. I can't thank them enough for that.

I took my beloved Riley to VCA to be cremated and I was expecting to pay an arm and a leg for it but it only cost 117.00 because of his size. They were kind and very sympathetic with my loss. I was shocked at what I got for 117.00 6 urn choices, clay paw print and a clipping of his hair... Definitely going to go back to VCA if I ever have to cremate another animal

After having a bad experience with an animal hospital in a neighboring town that did not address the issue we brought our cat in to be seen for, the experience at VCA Lewiston Animal hospital was a night and day difference. Dr. Lloyd was absolutely great with our cat and heard all of our concerns. I would highly recommend anyone to this hospital with the caveat that if you have an emergency please to go to the EMERGENCY veterinary clinic on Strawberry Avenue by the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society. This facility treated our cat with the same level of respect and care that I would want for any family member, furry or otherwise.
