How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Banfield Pet Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr.Girton and the staff at Banfield have absolutely wonderful with our older, large dogs. We have an adopted pitbull mix with vet anxiety and a rewcue doberman who is just a love bug. When the rescue dobe needed some masses removed, they recommended we do it when she was already our for her dental treatment which is part of the wellness plan we purchased. This may sound like common sense, but I've found other vets in my area try to nickel and dime you. I've been happy with the rates here and with how all of the back end staff treat my babies. Most of the front line staff are also awesome. There are a few that sometimes seem like they don't want to be there. But the majority are great! Rhey call often to check up after procedures and to remind me of appts and I get text and email reminders about appointments. I also used the chat feature once when the dobie had a scab on her foot and they sent links with recommended soft cones that worked well. I am having a great experience overall with Banfield so far!

Our boy, Asher, always receives the best care at Banfield. Everyone from the reception, Vet techs and Doctors treat our “baby” gently and give us good advice. We have been with Banfield for 12 years and highly recommend them for pet care. We have referred many pet owners to them.

Came there because I couldn't get I to the Westminster building, I dropped him off and they called me 45 mins later wondering where my cat was at, well I told them I hope he is in your care considering I dropped him off to you 45 mins ago. The assistant didn't know what they were telling me on his diagnosis and the vet didn't do a good job with his catheter surgery. Banfield killed my cat I DO NOT recommend them to anyone

They are a very very very very disorganized location dropped my cat off for observation and a tech or assist was calling me 45 mins later ask where my cat was at, well I’d hope he was with you since I dropped him off to you guys. The vet acted as though they didn’t really know what was going on so basically said what a possibility was and in the end result he passed a family member lost his life because they were more worried about making money and seeing TOO many patients in one day

Worst vet! They don't care about ur animal only ur money! Their estimates are always a lie whatever price they tell u add about $100-200 extra. They mislabeled & terrorized my cat during her spay, I can't even take her into a petsmart without her shaking. I asked to be contacted about the experience, guess they have a back log because it's been a month & I haven't heard anything still.
