VCA Animal Hospital was a huge blessing for us and our cat. VCA saw us on very short notice for an emergency visit, even though they are not our regular vet. Dr. Laura Carlson and veterinary assistant Lesley were excellent, kind, and very concerned about our cat and provided the best possible care. They quickly requested our cat’s records from our regular vet and even followed up the following day to see how we and our pet were doing. I couldn’t recommend Dr. Carlson or VCA any higher.

I’m a snowbird in Florida for 7 months , recently had my dog at Petco and he tested positive for a tick sickness not lime , vet did not give me prescription for antibiotics he needed , VCA wants 130.00 because it had been over a year.

My dog was dying, and they were too busy to deal with me on the most terrible day for my furbaby. She had to be put down and cremated due to renal failure that came out of nowhere. 😭🐕💔

Very kind employees and veterinarian. Was able to have our leopard gecko seen the next day for appt after calling about suspected tail rot. There are no vet offices that specialize in reptiles close by on the shore. Some vets that claim to see exotics may only be familiar with certain ones and often they aren't reptiles. That can lead to antibiotics being prescribed when fecal tests come back with small amounts of pin worms or bacteria in feces. Small amounts are perfectly normal for reptiles like bearded dragons so when they prescribe them, they often do more harm than good and unfortunately a couple weeks later the poor thing will pass away from something like kidney failure. Needless to say I was very nervous about selecting a vet to take our gecko to. Upon looking them up they actually had articles regarding reptiles on their website and care sheets as well which made me feel more comfortable with taking our LG to be seen. I was unable to go in due to Covid, but the vet called while I was outside and asked all the right questions . What size tank, what Temps, diet fed and how often, etc... She was very detailed and wasn't afraid to give advice on things she felt I could do to improve my husbandry. The only let down was the price for the procedure that needed to be done. I felt it was on the high side personally. To be able to see us so quickly and schedule the procedure the following day for a new client though, made it worth it in the end. I will definitely bring our gecko back if needed as well as our bearded dragons if they ever need to be seen.
