How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Colonial Animal Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Everything was perfect, the drive and location are easy to find, the price for everything even medicine is wonderful. Inside, it always smells so good because of their products and candles they sell for animal odor control. The staff are very friendly, and the whole process was quick and easy, especially for a first-time vet visitor like myself.

I have taken my animals to Colonial Animal Clinic for several years. I would highly recommend them. They have been kind, compassionate, professional, and understanding during each visit. My animals are a part of our family and they treat them as part of theirs. I thank God for each staff member. As a team they provide quality care!!

Not sure if they're good or not. I took my 18 year old Ragsoll cat there just in June it was diagnosed with IBS, and given Metacam, to take for two weeks. All symptoms stopped and she did well for maybe a month and the symptoms return. This time with same symptoms and more weight loss, she has constipation. Four years ago I took her sister here and was told she had a pituitary adrenal tumor and she had lost a lot of weight. They said she'd die in two months. I brought her home to make her comfortable. I made her comfortable for four years!! Anyway, turns out a cat can't live four years with this kind of tumor so again another "diagnoses" not sure of. I think I'm changing vets. Also, a real humdinger of an attitude at the front counter is not what I'd want representing my business, as the first person people see when they are sad over a sick pet. Put her out the door! Find a person with compassion. Everyone else I've encountered has been kind. Kind is nice but actually knowing what's wrong with animals would help since it's ultra-expensive to go here.

I had to go put my baby to sleep, they were so kind and I think we're just as heart broken as I was. They had to care of him for a week and a half the first time, I couldn't have asked for a better experience with that. They loved and took care of him like their own. It broke my heart to have to lay him to rest, but he's in a better place without pain. He not only touched my heart, but theirs as well. He will be greatly missed.

They've been wonderful to my Bradley considering how sick he's been. More than I can say for petland won't even help answer any of my questions 🙄🙄🙄
