How to Save on Veterinary Costs at West Wichita Pet Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

If you take your dog to West Wichita Pet Clinic to be neutered, this is how they might return him to you. They won't say a word about it when your wife picks him up the next day, and your wife will think its just stickiness medical tape or something When you get home from work that day and see that your dog's face is actually painfully raw, if you decide to drive there and find out what happened, the doctor will say he doesn't know for sure, but he thinks that it was from the dog rubbing his face on the kennel. He will then downplay the fact that they charged you to neuter, then watch your dog overnight to make sure they are recovering ok, then not saying anything to you about the dog's face when returning said dog. The doctor will just keep repeating "he's gonna be ok, right?", as if it's only wrong if the dog dies, so its no big deal. Then he will say to just put neosporin on the dog's snout, but when you say "I only paid you 900 dollars to neuter two of my dogs and watch them overnight, will you give me neosporin since it happened under your watch?", and he'll say he doesn't have any. So watch out for your dogs, they may be in harms way if you take them to West Wichita Pet Clinic. If you do take them there, be sure to check them afterward, because if anything happened to them, the clinic must expect the dog to tell you what happened. My wife and I also noticed we were charged an extra $104 for heartworm tests on our two dogs. We knew they would get their shots updated in order to be neutered, but heartworm tests were never mentioned, so watch out for extra fees that might pop up on your invoice. The vet was extremely rude and didn't seem to care about what happened with my dog. I've never written a review on Google before, but I'm very angry about what happened, and I felt I should warn others. I'm sure the vet will have some sort of ridiculous response to this, but I encourage you to read through all of the other one star reviews that I wish I would've checked before sending our dogs there.

I have been taking my pets to Dr Greg since they were puppies - over 15 years. Dr Greg and the staff are great and always answer any questions or concerns I have. When I had to put my Stevie down a couple years ago, they were very compassionate and helped me through a difficult time. Highly recommend them.
