How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Banfield Pet Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I used to love this service & taking my pets here. The quality is now terrible on site & with the company. Staff seems inconvenienced & ill informed on basic care needs or questions associated with our 2 dogs general wellness. They are always ready to sell us something extra or off plan as a solution. Do not recommend. Poor communication & unresponsive when I cancelled my plans. Now we have a collections notice months later via a credit report for balances due. No call, no app communications or statements showing payments due. no mail or email…par for the course for this place. Beware, this is no way to do business.

I will NEVER be back to this location of Banfield. The practice manager is perplexingly rude that it leaves me speechless. I was trying to get nexguard plus for my dog and she had a her vaccinations, bloodwork, dewormed, exam and heartworm test within the last 4 months.. “that was all explained to you” (which it was not and I told him that). To my understanding a HW test is good for one year. He indicated it was not if the pet hadn’t been on any preventative since the test. The way he spoke to me was that compared to a teenager. The attitude, the sass, all very apparent in the tone of his voice over the phone. I have worked YEARS in the veterinary industry and I would never speak to client that way, let alone someone who just needed some clarification. I would rather drive the extra 30+ minutes to the next nearest than to go back to this location. This interaction alone has helped me decide not to EVER go back to “his” establishment. Save yourself the frustration and do the same if you’re looking for a new veterinary practice.

We love all of the staff at our local Banfield. They really know how to show care and compassion. Especially Lorraine. We were recently blessed with a disabled rescue puppy Charlie, the team didn't even batt an eye and jumped right in to provide her the highest quality care. Thank you for loving our pets as much as we do! Follow us on TikTok @itsmscharliesworld

Thank you Banfields for helping my new lil girl Suki and for all of the information I needed for caring for a small dog compared to my son's GSD. I have lots to learn but feel much better after our visit. 🐾❤️

We had to visit for the last time to put our sweet dog, Callie, out of her pain. Everyone was incredible, sweet and empathetic. Callie had been with us since she was 7 weeks old and was almost 12 when she developed a heart arrhythmia that would be fatal. We always enjoyed our appointments and were very appreciative of the care we recieved.
