How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Log Cabin Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Every time I bring my Scotties to Log Cabin, I feel confident that my dogs are in the best of hands. Our main vet is Dr. Smyth, and she is fabulous. She is caring, extremely knowledgeable, and thorough. I am never afraid to ask questions or explain my concerns. Dr. Smyth listens to me and always has a suggestion. I have also visited the other veterinarians and have received the same kind of treatment. I have recommended Log Cabin to several of my friends, and they feel the same way I do. The staff is exceptional— kind, helpful, and so great with my dogs.

We are new to the office and had a wonderful experience today! Everyone was so nice and Dr. Conner was very thorough. Nothing felt rushed. You can tell these folks truly care about your pet. I’ll definitely be bringing my other kitty here and recommend Log Cabin to anyone! Thank you, Dr. Conner and team!

My little cat Julian was born in a driveway without prenatal care! He’s been a sickly little boy but the professionals at Log Cabin have given him all the care and love and attention he’s needed to be a happy healthy little boy. I highly recommend Log Cabin to everyone!

Our labradoodle will not allow his nails to be trimmed without sedation. Dr Smyth & Sonja are amazing. They come to our house & take care of him. Dr Smyth & her staff are the only ones I trust to take care of our furbabies!! 🐕‍🦺🐕
