Canine Body and Mind
How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Canine Body and Mind
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

There are so many good things I can say about this place, e.g. convenient, positive, professional, welcoming... Most importantly, however, I have learned so much about working with my [challenging] dog. I love how easy it is to schedule, the convenient class times and options for private lessons. My dog has plans to continue challenging my knowledge in new/different ways and I look forward to meeting her training needs with the help of Dr. B and company!!

Dr Belock is amazing. She is very knowledgeable, compassionate and caring. Her low stress vet visits are great and my dogs are always happy to go see her. You can tell she is doing her best to change the way training and vet care are done.

Canine Body and Mind was recommended to me by my vet's office. We've done 3 of their training classes and I feel like my dog and I learned a lot. We look forward to taking another class soon. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a great way to train your dog and have fun in the process.

Summer 2022 we adopted a shelter dog that has reactive tendencies to our other dogs. We struggled to find a trainer that would address her specific needs. After discussing our concerns with our veterinarian, they recommended Dr. Beth Belock of Canine Body and Mind. After just one session, we found our solution. Canine Body and Mind genuinely cares about our dogs and us as clients. Dr. Belock always spends high quality time with us. We never feel rushed, or pushed out the door. The methods used are positive and make it a fun experience with our dogs. It’s their “school time”, they love going. Dr. Belock tailors each session based on our progress and the things we need to work on. We cannot recall a session where we didn’t have an “a-ha moment”. After a few months of training we are slowing using Canine Body and Mind for wellness care too. If you need basic obedience training or require help with your dogs behavior, we highly recommend Canine Body and Mind. They provide high quality dog training & instruction along with the tools and techniques you need for success; all while caring about your dog(s), your relationship with your dogs, and you!
