How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Carter Veterinary Medical Center

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr. Carter and the team are a gem. They are so kind. They are thoughtful about costs as well. We are so lucky to have them.

Dr. Carter is a great vet! I have a service animal ( A lab terrier ) and she trusts Dr. Carter, he always has a smile on his face, gives training tips and overall I wouldn't go to another vet

Just had our first appointment here at Carter vet and wow. I couldn’t be more satisfied! Dr. Carter was extremely knowledgeable and we felt right at home. We had went to another vet recently trying to find “the one” and although it was stellar it didn’t quite feel like this one. Highly recommend!

Dr. Carter should be called “The Cat Whisperer “. Our little Tommy —who sort of resembles a dog more than a cat in a good way—had dental problems and excessive grooming issues that this genius and beloved Vet remedied. He gave us our Tommy back better than ever. Happy New Year Dr. Carter! ❤️

Louie (Bulldog) and Louie’s dog Vinnie (our dog got a dog), both go to Carter Vet. They like visiting because of all the interesting smells. Vinnie got some shots recently and they really hurt, but, that’s gonna hurt no matter where you go. Louie likes the treats at the counter. Overall, they both like the car ride the best. Plus, the people at Carter Vet really like animals and that makes all the difference. You are never rushed. Go here.
