How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Highland Park Veterinary Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

This is the first time in my life when I feel like I have a safe place where I can bring my dogs and someone will take care of them. Vets and all staff are professional and thoughtful, they will provide you tests and services that your pet actually needs and they will not trick you into paying extra for unnecessary bills. I was referred to dr. Cohen when I moved to North Suburbs and I’m forever grateful he is our veterinarian now! One of my dogs isn’t the healthiest pup and it gives me a peace of mind knowing that my family has such great specialist as in Highland Park Veterinary clinic. This is my second home now where people truly care.

All the staff were the most caring, compassionate vet staff I’ve ever met. They squeezed us in last minute for my senior cat to be seen. They are affordable as well, and so professional. Thank you Nancy and staff for taking care of us in our time of need!

I've never had anything but terrific care and compassion here at HPVC with my dog, Gruia. He has been very well cared for during his normal exams, to his illnesses, to his dental cleanings. All care has been explained in detail, costs have been provided up front and accurately, and my pet is always happy to come here. They also don't try to upsell you anything and have even tried to find ways to help ease costs associated with his medications. I am VERY pleased with the level of care he receives and would recommend this hospital to anyone!

I had a nice first experience at highland park veterinary clinic. They were able to fit me in with little notice, made sure I knew where to go and any Covid procedures, and were very compassionate to my pet’s medical issues. I don’t have a long history here but intend on making this our primary vet. Cute dogs at the desk too (behind a gate not loose).
