Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

We had an incredible daycare experience for our dog. The team is warm, attentive, and truly treats every pup like family. They create a safe, fun, and engaging environment where dogs can play, relax, and feel completely at ease. I always appreciate the care, communication, and genuine love they show. It is clear they are passionate about what they do. Our dog comes home happy, tired, and well‑loved every time. Highly recommend their daycare services!

I never have to worry about the quality of care my dogs receive here. The staff are friendly, attentive, and transparent with prices for medications and shots. It’s a huge relief to know I can trust this clinic.

I switched to this vet for it's closer location recently, but little did I know a week later I would be bringing my newly adopted kitten in that was having breathing issues. Dr. Slossberg was immediately able to identify that something was wrong, get X-rays done, and save my cat's life -- she needed surgery immediately or to be put down. The emergency vet I went to in the morning was even surprised my regular vet identified that the kitten had this issue since it is so rare and often hard to recognize and commented on how skilled he must be. I really don't know what I would do if it hadn't been for Dr. Slossberg's care and thoroughness to make sure my kitty was checked over. She is alive thanks to him. Twiggy and I are both thankful. I will honestly never go to another vet after this experience.

My pup Mika, has been going here for 3 years now. They understand how to care for my little anxious babe and are so understanding about mishaps with pet insurance. Truly a phenomenal place. Only negative is they need weekend appointments.

I took my dog to Wrigleyville Vet for four years. Each year, they changed policies including drastically changing what their wellness plans would cover, while raising the prices, and most recently, not filling prescriptions on Chewy, favoring their own, more expensive pharmacy partner. My dog is older and struggled a lot going to the vet. They never recommended any way to make the experience less traumatizing for him, like giving him medication to calm down beforehand or limiting what they would do at each visit. I'd hear him screaming from the waiting room, and they would just brush it off. Each time my dog's test results would show anything of concern, they'd recommend just continuing to monitor. So he'd come back for blood work, blood pressure checks, etc. time and time again with no real treatment plan, just continued (expensive) tests. As a first time dog parent, I fully trusted them. Now that I'm at a new vet, I understand that Wrigleyville does not practice anything related to a fear-free approach, and their treatment plans seem to center around how to squeeze more money out of patients. My new vet identified a grade 4 heart murmur within minutes of meeting my dog; something Wrigleyville had never mentioned. Wrigleyville vet seems to be focused on making money, so it's probably fine as a day care and a really expensive groomer, but I would not recommend them for any medical services. Also, there are inflated 5 star reviews as they give discounts when you write a 5 star review.
