Dr. LaFave is the epitome of compassion and care. I’ve been to many vets in my time as a lifelong pet owner, but never have I interacted with a doctor who cares more about the animals and their owners. We have two French bulldogs who always need to see their vet for one reason or the other. Urban PetRx’s affordability is unmatched, especially considering the individual and personal attention paid to every animal. Dr. LaFave and her staff are personable, professional, & most of all, empathetic towards those under their care. You will not find a better vet in Chicago or anywhere.

Look no further! Dr LaFave and her staff are top notch. My pup was spayed here & the team was extremely kind, compassionate and more than happy to answer all of my questions and concerns. They made us feel comfortable and confident on a hard day & will forever have my business. They always answer the phone & offer advice often. Pricing is very reasonable. Dr LaFave knows all of my family pets by name and that says it all!

The Urban Pet Rx team and Dr. LaFave are beyond great. Everyone is compassionate and takes their time with my nervous pittie to make him comfortable. The environment is beautiful and it helps both me and my dog relax. Dr. LaFave has displayed some serious expertise in the field of veterinary medicine and has always been honest and considerate with health steps to take, including the degree of necessity for procedures. Dr. LaFave has helped us with Mishka's emergencies and has always been in communication with us after to make sure everything is okay. The team at Urban Pet Rx is valued more than they know! The staff is great, the reason for 2 stars is that the vet doesn't come in the room with you there, but she takes the dog in private and I have never had that happen with any other vet. I want to be with my dog when being examined.

Easily the best vet I've ever been to. The staff is friendly The prices are fair and these people really care about animals and owners alike. Other vets charge me more than twice the amount for what I got done here and they've definitely earned a permanent customer
