How to Save on Veterinary Costs at PAWS Chicago Medical Center & Lurie Clinic

Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I needed to get my cat spayed and was able to secure an appointment with this center. The service was excellent, the staff was very professional and attentive, and the price was amazing — only $150! The online booking was a bit tricky at first, but I finally got an appointment within a week. The surgery went perfectly, and my cat’s recovery has been fantastic. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for affordable, reliable, and high-quality veterinary care. 🐾💖

Fabulous! I volunteer at this PAWS Medical Center. Staff is outstanding, facility is well run. Clean! Hygiene and sterility are excellent (and I am a retired doctor ... I should know!!). Finally, these folks are loving, we all have big hearts and want these dog to get better and find wonderful "forever homes".

I recently had to take my cat in to the vet after she started spotting. They recommended that she be spayed and proceeded to give me an estimate of $757-$1200 to do the procedure. Thank goodness for PAWS. Signing up for the procedure was slightly clunky for me online but that hitch was insignificant in comparison to the level of care and professionalism I experienced. Once I was in the system it was easy peasy. Staff was friendly and attentive and they gave me 2 calls to update me on my cat's progress. They sent a link to pay online and I'll be picking her up at 4 pm. Thank you PAWS!

Took my girl here to be spayed*, only small issue with trying to remember to log on to their site to grab an appointment when they post them but that's because I'm normally working at that time. After you get an appointment its a smooth process, I had concerns about her incision on Sunday and emailed them and got a response that Monday afternoon that I could bring my girl back into be seen. They got me right in and out, with medications to ensure my girl wasnt in any pain or would be open to any infection. Im so glad they are open and here for the community. The tattoo is small and my girls hair is already growing over it and its just been about a week and a half

If you need your cat spayed or it has pyometra ,I would take them here . They do so many they know all the steps by hearth . You can go to a vet that does 10 cats/dogs a month or you can go here where they over 100 , experience is the best teacher as some say ….. also the prices are what every health care provider / Vet should strive for . My cat(female Persian)had pyometra The whole proces cost me 150$ more then my vets check up and im not even going to mention his surgery price thats more then 2000% mark up vs here ….. This is what happens when people want to help animals not profit .
