How to Save Money at Lovet Pet Health Care - Fulton Market
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
The clinic gets 5 stars bc the staff really show kindness, compassion, love, follow through, and hard work. Dr Meade was wonderful and did all she could to diagnose and treat my cat Happy to make him happy. Her call and care and follow up meant a lot to me and Happy. The staff are very kind and supportive and loving to the animals. And what a lovely and clean and modern and kind clinic. The only thing that would have been nice is free parking bc you have to find street parking and use the Park Mobile app or paid parking at a lot. This is not a low cost clinic but the doctors and staff are caring and loving. When you love your pet like they are family, you will want them to be treated by those who love your pets...and the staff here will love your pets. Thank you. It means a lot to me bc all my cats Happy, Hercules, Dani, Remy, Inky, and Tuxedo, are my world. I want them to get the best care. Free water and coffee and hot chocolate as well as popcorn.

I love taking my cats here. Dr. Renee Mead is the absolute best!!! She is so knowledgeable, and truly cares about helping fur babies along with the great loving and caring staff. I've taken 2 of my cats in serous conditions. like serious, serious conditions but she was so attentive, kind and gentle with my babies and thanks to her they both made it. She will do her best to help your baby. I've been to many vets and they are not all the same, not everyone cares, but here they do. Thank you so much Dr. Renee Mead.

Where do I even begin? Navigating sudden and extreme health issues with an aging pup is so so scary. Our regular vet is out of state and we needed urgent care. After calling and calling for an appointment (but knowing we didn’t need an emergency visit, yet), a friend recommended the new Fulton Market Lovet location who got us in the same day. Every single member of their staff is incredibly friendly and caring. I was literally handed a box of Kleenex and a water bottle when they noticed how upset I was about my sick pup. The wait was next to nothing before Dr. McDaniels and her accompanied tech Kayla entered our room. They inspected my pup and formulated an extensive treatment plan, outlining options, potential outcomes, and next steps if my pup (Zoey) didn’t show improvement. They did not pressure into certain Rx’s, or tests, and did not judge about my opinions on long term care (I prefer holistic/naturopathic type for example). They helped me choose options within my budget that would show the biggest chance of improvement and comfort for Zoey. Treatment didn’t stop after our visit. The follow up about Zoey’s improvement was impeccable, and Kayla even sent PAGES of requested information on dog nutrition, specifically for managing pancreatitis in my small pup. I thought I was on the right track before, but now I can feel more confident about our path forward. By the way, only a few days after beginning the pancreatitis treatment plan, Zoey was beginning to function normal again. ~2weeks later and Zoey’s got her vivacious personality back in full swing, which is pretty cool when a 13yr old dog still acts 3! I seriously can’t thank this team enough for keeping Zo out of a week long hospital stay, and reviving my pup!

Such a good vet clinic! We’ve been frequent visitors recently due to my cats urinary issues. All of the staff have been super nice and helpful and patient. Dr. Renee was super informative and compassionate towards us and our cat and helped us find the best solutions to her issues. Our cat hates the vet as most cats do, but the energy Dr. Renee and the other staff have made Minxie our cat feel just a bit better during her visit

I booked my dog’s appointment online at this new Fullerton Market location for 1:30 PM, and it was CONFIRMED. Then I got a call saying my appointment was not confirmed because I mentioned my dog had a runny nose. They said if I had booked over the phone it would have been confirmed. Then, without explanation, they wanted to move my appointment from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM to prioritize someone else’s pet. This is ridiculous and shows they clearly do not care about sincerely servicing animals. My pet deserves respect and reliable care, which this place does not provide. I will never go here. I will never recommend this place to anyone with a pet, and I will actively speak out against anyone who says they plan to visit this clinic. It’s really sad to watch people claim they love animals when their actions show otherwise. The screenshots are below. Please don’t get under my review saying how sorry you all are, cause you’re NOT! I don’t want your apology. My Dog is my world & there’s no coming back from this. Screw this place
