How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Escanaba Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

I too used to go here exclusively and never had an issue. One day my Boxer Jackie died unexpectedly, i took her there to have her cremation scheduled. When "her" ashes were returned to me i noticed my name was correct but my dogs name was not (they were stickers). There was another set of remains there as well, I swear to God this man took the dogs names of the urns and simply swapped them like it was no big deal. I almost attacked him when he wouldn't comprehend my complaining. one of his workers tried to explain to him why i had an issue with what he had done. Then someone on here mentioned grooming, one time i went there to enquire and i saw one of the groomers leaning on this little dog to get her to comply. Now this was a big dude, we've all seen him if we've gone there. I was surprised how one day he's an assistant the next he's groomer. I remember protesting and asking him if he thought the dog's owner would appreciate that? he mumbled something and kept on. I simply couldn't forgive him for the mix-up with my dogs remains. To this day I don't know if that's my dog in the urn. Convenient location yes but not much else.

I don't trust the doctor, he seems sketchy and really likes to push you to get things like clipping nails, etc. You can tell he likes getting money. The vet assistants?? Those guys are really nice and helpful. You can tell they love taking care of animals.

Docter is awesome, Vet is nice and clean, doesn't smell like animals at all. I take all my dogs here. I recommend this place for any one trying to get their dogs vaccines or antibiotics for an affordable price.

I took my cat to this place. They "treated" her & kept her overnight. They wanted to charge me $400+ to do some testing. I picked her up and nothing had changed. She still had a fever & wasn't felling better. So I took her to her regular vet, Kragness, and she received the proper treatment & was healed in a matter where of days. With $400+ still in my pocket.

Recently visited this location for my two Yorkies the for the most part they were clean and friendly for the doctors visit first time wasn't a bad experience but as far as the groomer he is very unprofessional and arrogant and he doesn't like to groom small dogs. everyone has their preference and it's OK but when you are in this profession or just form my personal and professional opinion it's not what you say it's how you say it and show it and the expenses that you make.
