I discovered Dr. Knox Hilliard and the exceptional team at Houston Veterinary Clinic in 2021. My previous veterinarian was unresponsive to my concerns and provided inadequate treatment for my pets. After a thorough search, I contacted Dr. Hilliard, who spent nearly an hour on the phone, patiently listening to my concerns, particularly regarding my dog, Banzai, who has several health issues. He assured me of their commitment to providing the best possible care, and I immediately felt confident in my choice. For nearly four years, we have received consistently outstanding care without incident. Dr. Hilliard has consistently exceeded expectations, providing readily available and dedicated support for my two pets Shenzi and Banzais various health needs. I am incredibly grateful to have found such a skilled veterinarian and compassionate staff; the entire team is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, creating a truly familial atmosphere. Our pets also received excellent care during their week-long boarding stay in 2024. Regular updates were provided. Therefore, I also highly recommend this clinic's boarding services as well.

I did thorough research before picking Dr. Hilliard to be my baby’s vet. He was so patient, kind, and he was on top of treating my dog’s issues unlike any vet I’ve ever had to work with. Bailey unfortunately had to be sent to the rainbow bridge, and even though this is a pain like no other having lost my only friend… Dr. Hilliard and his team exceeded my expectations with their professionalism, generosity, and kindness. I will forever be grateful for the Tech that gifted me with a clay paw print and ink prints of my angel’s paws and nose. If I find the strength to get another friend this is the ONLY vet I will use.

The atmosphere, the staff and friendliness is welcoming. Had to quickly get rabies vaccines for my furbabies. They were kind. One furbaby was so scared, they showed patience and kindness towards him. I love coming here. Will definitely refer friends and family to Houston Veterinary Clinic 💯. 😁

It has taken me some time to be able to sit down and write this review. Our sweet baby unexpectedly crossed the rainbow bridge back in December. She had just turned 4 years old. Dr. Hilliard did everything he possibly could to try and save her. Emergency surgery, inserting a feeding tube, hospitalization, the works. He worked with me and my husband to give Millie Vanilli the absolute best care right up until the very end. Unfortunately, our little baby couldn’t make it through the night. Dr. Hilliard and the entire Houston Vet staff demonstrated nothing but compassion, care and support through such a difficult time. While of course, they can’t save them all, they will do their damnedest to try.

Absolutely love this place. I had to rush my sweet old boy Duke here for an emergency when my other dogs attacked him. They immediately took us in, got him into surgery within an hour or two, and saved his life. The staff was awesome and was so gentle with him. Dr. Hilliard was phenomenal and answered any questions I had and was always available for my sweet boy and I if needed. Forever grateful for this place for giving me a little while longer with my old boy.
