How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Banfield Pet Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

My original veterinarian clinic was extremely expensive and never offered up their care plans. Also I was charged for services that were never rendered. We adopted our second pup and the owner filled us in on Banfield in Chamblee. They are awesome! Very thorough and truly caring! Their care plans vary due to age and needs of your pet and not costly at all. Most of all Tuxedo and Theo give them 4 paws up!

Excellent Dr's that truly love animals. My little Schnauzer is well taken care of here. although we moved from the area, we still take our pet to this location. Our Charlie passed away a year ago in September. We now have CJ, our new miniature Schnauzer. He is almost a year old and a patient here as well.

The doctors are nice but the staff that answers or greets you are not very welcoming. My dog had an emergency and they put me on hold for 20-30 mins. They need to restaff the whole front desk. This location sucks unfortunately

Doctors are nice. Customer service of everyone else is terrible. Not very welcoming. I’m not sure if they treat everyone the same based off of bad customers. But everyone is not a bad customer. Need to work on attitudes. Not welcoming. How do you expect people to trust that their fur babies are safe when you don’t even welcome the parents in a nice manner. Learn how to match energy ladies. If I approach you nice and welcoming I expect the same treatement and if you can’t do that then get a new job cause I’m not leaving my Pup with a bunch of bad energy women. They need to have a training on customer service at this location. When the doctor called she was very nice tho maybe the doctors scan give the others some tips on tone and energy. So that they aren’t just stuffing their face with food and having bad service.

I am not one to leave reviews however, after my experience yesterday, I feel like it was important for me to share. I had an appointment for my eight week old puppy at 10 AM. I got to the office and they informed me that I would have to drop my dog off. I informed them that he did not have all of his vaccines yet and asked if I could wait and be present for the visit, they told me no it was a drop off appointment and that he would have to stay there in isolation until the doctor can see him. I called back after about two hours just to be told that vet was still in surgery and that there were 10 other pets ahead of my dog. I could also hear my dog yelping and crying in the background. I was extremely frustrated that I had a set appointment and it had been two hours and nothing has been done yet. There’s no reason why an eight week old puppy should be sitting in a cage all day crying for a wellness visit. after getting the update that my pet had not been seen I decided that I was just going to pick him up and find a vet nearby where I could be present for the visit. When I got to the office, the front desk person was very nice and friendly, but looked very confused When I told her I wanted to get my dog. she did talk to the Doctor Who said that they would see me in person with my dog at 5 o’clock, however I did not feel comfortable receiving care from them anymore. I took my dog and was able to be seen at another wonderful clinic in the area where I was allowed to be present for the visit and received fantastic care. After my pet had already been seen at a different clinic I received a phone call from Banfield. The veterinarian called stating she loved my dog and loved his name, and that he was a perfectly healthy pet, and he was ready to be picked up. She sounded intoxicated in this voicemail. I was very confused as to why she was calling to tell me my pet was ready when he had been picked up six hours before that phone call and had not been evaluated by anyone. I am so glad that I went and picked him up and trusted my gut to take him somewhere else because this clinic clearly is unorganized and is not providing adequate care. Save yourself the stress and have your pet seen at a more legitimate clinic.
