Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance

Vetco was very nice and friendly. However they’re extremely expensive. About a month and a half ago I took my dog there and they did a fecal test and told me that there were no parasites or worms in there, here I am today and she’s been on the Simpatica Trio that they gave her (6mo supply at $180) which should take care of all of that in the form of preventative maintenance, and she has worms in her stool. She’s had them since I got her home. It’s not working. It makes me wonder what test they did on her stool to where they found the worms, because I’ve seen worms in her stool from day one. Why are they pushing a medication that either doesn’t work or why are they not performing more extensive tests that will pull up the worms that I’m clearly singing in the stool every time she goes to the bathroom.?? I’m NOT HAPPY!

We visited the Vetco facility at Petco Caroline Ave. Atlanta today. It was our first visit with our 12 week old Bernedoodle. We met with Dr. McCracken. She was wonderful. And we also met with Vet. Asst. Tara who was very helpful with all aspects of the practices policies and procedures. It was a very pleasant visit and have made plans to continue taking Charlie there for his care. Thanks to all for your friendliness and professionalism. Bruce and Joanne Spencer And the front desk people were awesome, too.😁

I moved to Atlanta this year and have been looking for a vet for my chihuahuas for a couple of months. I've tried several different vet clinics and Vetco in Edgewood has been the best so far. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. We've found our vet home!

Not sure why my first review was removed as it was 100% accurate. My then 5 week old kitten almost DIED from parasites after this clinic gave me a clean bill of health stating that NO PARASITES were found in his fecal sample. I saw recently that another per owner had this SAME SITUATION with their dog. You all need to do better...

treat these people like jiffy lube telling you you need a $50 air filter. took a cat to get a simple vaccine booster that gets carsick every time they get in the car. had just finished a deworming course and had slightly soft stool. told vet tech we were giving cat wet and dry food and was told to stop because the wet food could cause soft stools. cat was tested for parasites, test came back negative. tech took under arm temp and proclaimed cat sick. end result $170 bill and no vaccination. if you feel like being talked down to and ignored by a vet tech this is your dream vet. basically will do anything they can find to run up your bill and not do what you came for with the flimsiest excuse and when you tell them otherwise expect the person who just ignored everything you said to try to guilt you by telling you they are just doing what is best for the cat, which apparently includes not vaccinating them but giving them unnecessary medications based on one questionable data point.
