How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Steele Equine Veterinary Services & Performance Horse Center

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr Steele and her staff provide exceptional veterinary care and support. My horse mare has participated in the fitness program on site as well as has received maintenance treatment and care. Dr Steele also visits her regularly for any of her needs in the community. Dr Steele is always there and is always listening!!!!

5 stars isn’t enough as Dr Steele’s practice is the best around and second to none! She holds the welfare of your horse priority and is very knowledgeable, caring and genuine. Best vet I’ve found for my 20 horses 💗

Dr.Liz Steele is literally only a phone call away if I ever have a question even at 9pm on a week night! She was spot on with my horses medical needs and her facility is clean, welcoming, and absolutely beautiful. I can't forget her wonderful staff for being so nice and helpful. The equine dentist is amazing and my husband and I got to sit in a watch the entire procedure which was so interesting! My horse whom was a rescue and had never been in an actual enclosed building in her life was calm and only mildly nervous. Can't say enough about how awesome this vet is. Wish she handled all animals!

This clinic reminds me of Heaven. Dr. Steele is exceptionally knowledgeable. Her assistant (whose name I didn't get) was amazing too. Our horse, Moses, started to panic a little when he saw the door he had to go through. She spoke to him and like magic, he stopped and did as requested. It was surreal... If you ever get the chance, you won't regret going to this place.
