How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Indian River Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Everyone that works there is wonderful. We are usually in an out very quickly. It's always clean. They have been very very helpful Jack our cat doesn't get upset he stays pretty calm. The Doctor is very good you can tell he's been working with animals for ever. He's always been pretty fast at knowing what's wrong with Jack. He just seems very humble like he's a really nice grandfather. And every one else is very nice.

My puppy had a UTI and my vet was closed . I called Indian River Veterinary Hospital and they were able to get me right in. They diagnosed her quickly and we went home with antibiotics. They were friendly and kind. The bill was very reasonable. They wave the office visit fee for first time visits. I am so grateful for their help .

We just moved to the area, and we brought our dog in because of her allergies. Unlike other vets, the doctor here helped us understand how to get them under control instead of selling us different products. Thank you for your help! We look forward to coming back for annual visits.
