After calling two or three other vets to see if they would let us bring in our 11 year old Westie for an emergency visit, we called On Point at 3:30 pm and they said absolutely, bring him in. The others wanted to schedule appointments for the following day or two. We quickly took him in and after diagnostics were run, we found out that nothing could be done. Our beloved family member Willie was facing end of life. The staff was SO AMAZING with us AND Willie. They never rushed the process, and even gave him meds for comfort so we could take him home and say our goodbyes. While this kind of situation is never easy, the staff at On Point seemed to put us, and Willie, at ease. I felt like they cared for us just like they would for one of their own family members. When we brought Willie back for the final time that evening, they gave us a secluded private room where we could be with him for a long as we needed. They never rushed the process, or us. These staff members were so patient and loving all the way to the end. I would recommend OnPoint to any and everyone who has animals. They have a very clean and well staffed facility, and offer the best of care. Thank you OnPoint for everything you did for us and our beloved Willie.

I brought my dog Panda into the vet due to him being very sick. They couldn’t have been more helpful, kind, and understanding. This was my first time coming here and this will be my new emergency vet I will always bring my pets to. I wish I could give more than 5 stars honestly. After we left they continued to text me (a real person) about how he was doing and checking on him and still giving me advice on what to do.

Brought my Doberman in for care. The staff was amazing! They were great with him and really had his comfort in mind. Will definitely bring him back if there's an emergency. So happy to have something like this so near Killearn Lakes.

Staff were very friendly, kind and explained what they were doing as tests were run. The nurse we saw was hilarious and kept things light. We were asked before anything was done and when they were not able to run a test explained why and provided us with materials to bring a sample back the next day. The facility is immaculate. I would highly recommend OnPoint if you have an emergency and your pet needs to be seen. We walked in and our pet was immediately seen. Wonderful experience.

Initially, I was extremely dissatisfied. I was worried my dog at something containing xylitol, a toxin that can cause organ damage and death if not treated immediately. I tried to induce vomiting at home, but that didn't work. I knew that time was of the essence, so I came to OnPoint for the first time. No one else seemed to be waiting (though there may have been patients in rooms). The office was clean, quiet, and apparently empty except of staff. I filled out all the paperwork and was clearly freaked out about the time issue. About two hours seems to be the window for care for getting the xylitol out through vomiting. Despite the empty lobby, they were slow to respond when I was possibly right at the window of the 2 hours for vomiting to help. When someone finally came to weigh the dog, she seemed annoyed at my questions about things being time-sensitive. She took the dog's temperature and left me in the exam room. Then we waited a while more for a vet to come in. The vet looked at the dog's gums, and I confirmed there were no obvious signs of toxic reaction. Her mood and energy were great. I know she had gotten into the box of sugar free gum cubes and they were all over the floor, but I couldn't tell if she'd eaten any. I had the label and showed the doctor. But the dog seemed fine. This is when things got weird. The vet told me to call the national number for pet poison control or whatever. I said I wasn't sure exactly what to ask. I was surprised they'd have ME make such a call. But the vet said, "I'm not a toxicologist." She said calling the number would likely be a $90-something fee. And then she suggested some sort of IV containing morphine to induce vomiting even though I was quite worried that the delay had put us past the time for vomiting to help. She suggested $700 of blood work. (Xylitol, according to google, can cause blood sugar to plummet). There was not a lot of explanation about what should be done instantly in terms of any treatment. I was not comfortable with being the go-between between an outside toxicologist and the vet, but they never offered to make the call for me and then charge me (something I may have been up for). I simply didn't feel right about the vet essentially not being willing to diagnose or decide what steps to take without a completely outside service that I could personally call and privately retain and then decide what questions to ask. They wanted me to handle all of that and then relay what the toxicologist told them to do. But the $900 of diagnositics, they felt pretty sure about. I decided to leave and decline care. They said that was fine. The dog is fine, by the way. She had zero signs of toxicity and apparently spilled the gum on the floor but was turned off by the smell or the fact that it's gum--not a typical dog treat despite the sugar-cube shape--and didn't eat it. Though they initially called a few days later to ask for payment, Dr. Kidder called later, and we had an exceedingly professional and pleasant call expressing her regret and truly listening to my concerns. She stated that of course there would be no fee and the call had been in error. Frankly, her call moved my review from a 1-star thing up to 3 stars, and based on her personal call, I'd feel comfortable going back there in an urgent-care crisis in the future. And I want to stress that she never asked me to change my review. When I told her I was going to change it, she even seemed surprised and more or less made it clear that she was definitely not asking me to do that, just trying to learn how to do better. Of course...that response is exactly why it's worth upgrading the review. And I see that other people's experiences have been very positive. So...if my pup needs urgent care on a night or weekend when my vet is closed...I'm going to make them my first choice next time and see if things go better. Hopefully I don't need them, but I've been to pet urgent care enough times over the years to know that it's likely in a year or two that I'll need help again.
