Would give no stars if possible. The staff is rude. One is afraid of large dogs. Total mismanagement of an ear infection by not prescribing antibiotics correctly. Didn't culture it until demanded to after months of recurring infection. And when calling to follow up, the desk staff is unprofessional and hungup the phone. Looking into reporting this office

Dr McMahon has been taking my dog for 16 years and we were happy with his care. But she was never really ill. And she was very healthy - a large dog that lives to 16 is unusual. She developed a tumor in her nose who’s was more than likely cancer. But she was eating, , drinking, and playing with our younger dog as much as a 16 year dog did. She was seeing the vet and on medications. We knew she would not last much longer but she was not in pain, she saw the vet on Friday and was evaluated and given more medications. The next day we woke up to blood on the floor every where she had laid! Because it was 10:30 and he closed at 1:00 I Called to bring her in. He was too busy. Too busy to care for an animal that he had cared for 16 years! I have been a nurse fo 51 years, continue to work, and never turned them down when I was called to work extra! In fact with this new COVID crisis I have been pulled to work associated with that! But her was too busy to se his patient. Take her to an emergency vet. We did, of course. An attempt to stop the bleeding unsuccessfully, or we were told. She had crossed the rainbow bridge. But I wasn’t prepared and it might have been easier to accept by a person who cared for, at least I thought he did. He left us, and her, adrift. I’ll never know if it would have made a difference, but I won’t put the rest of my animals back in the hands of an unfeeling person.

Apparently the doc doesn’t know the difference between SLIGHTLY elevated and NEEDS immediate attention. Due to his lack of knowledge our girl is gone bc her levels were way to HIGH. Whole company and staff is garbage.

More expensive than most vets but worth it

I worked here. Dr Macmahon's staff lacks compassion. They don't take any time educating you to make the best choices for your pet. He will band-aid your problems instead of solve them from the start. They do not practice low stress handling on pets. They do not require their technicians keep up with any continuing education. There are much better options for you in the spring hill area where the DVM and their staff truly care about the well-being of each patient instead of your $
