How to Save on Veterinary Costs at West Coast Veterinary Center
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

1 1/2 years ago, Dr. Browning gave us answers no one else could concerning our kitty, Tooey. He passed away but because of the care and compassion of every staff member, from my first call our visit, I felt ready. Today, Dr. Brown was able to provide the same expertise and compassion for our dog. Had we not known what was going on, we’d not have known what to do. This place gives us the ability to feel confident we are informed currently of the health issues our pets have had. And to show us so much understanding, without judgment, gives our hearts what we need. Thank you, everyone (I’ve forgotten the names and I’m so so sorry) for being Little Bit’s tender caregivers today. Thank you for the empathy, sensitivity, for the extra treats, for all the time you allowed us and gave to us, and thank you for helping us lovingly let go.

First let me start by saying that Dr. Browning is an outstanding vet & wish she had her own practice. With that said, I will never be going back there again thanks to Dr. Brown. My dog hit his head very hard while playing And was drooling a lot and bubbling from the front of his mouth. He wasn't eating or drinking as much as he normally would. So I called up West Coast veterinarian and asked if I can drop him off. Also in his records it states that he is not to see Dr. Brown and when I called I asked who Mojo would be seeing and it was not dr. Brown. After I dropped him off and went back home, I got a call back from the vet. It was Doctor Brown who called me because she was the one who saw him. Mojo is a 94 lb male German Shepherd whose 5 years old. Obviously she didn't do a thorough exam on him and was more concerned with him not getting vitamin E and being overweight. Mojo has been the same weight for two and a half years and not one vet in the practice has ever told me he was overweight. Long story short after I pick him up and went home he was getting worse. I ended up having to bring him to a neurologist vet for an MRI which cost me just under $5,000. It was found that the only thing wrong with Mojo was he had three broken teeth. If Dr. Brown would have done a full exam and was more concerned about his head trauma than she was his weight and had seen he had three Broken Teeth it more than likely would have saved me $5,000 for my other vet bill for the MRI. Again that's Dr. Brown not Dr. Browning. I can't say anything bad about Dr. Browning. If you decide to use West Coast veterinarian I recommend to tell them you never want Dr. Brown near your pet.

Very helpful for both our dog and cat ( they probably think I’m crazy for all of my concerns I have for my fur babies). We’ve used them for many things, even ordering pet supplements. They always pick up the phone quickly and can get us in pretty soon. They told me about Holistic food for pets on Fruitville and we’ve used them since also.
