How to Save on Veterinary Costs at University Animal Clinic
Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I had a great experience at University Animal Clinic when I brought my dog in for treatment of double ear infections. We were given an immediate appointment as soon as I called, which I really appreciated since my dog was clearly uncomfortable. The entire staff was wonderful—Erica was especially helpful, the doctor was friendly and informative, and the receptionist was warm and welcoming. The office was clean and organized, which added to the overall positive experience. I’m so grateful for the care George received and highly recommend this clinic to other pet owners!

I have been bringing my two cats to University since I adopted them 2.5 years ago. The staff has always been so kind and the doctors are very thorough when examining my cats. I find that their pricing is very affordable. I love that their new location is about 5 minutes from my house!

Thank you Dr. Sam and your wonderful team for looking after my cockatiel who experienced cloaca prolapse. So impressed by your office, how quickly they took me in, how kind they were, and how wonderful your care and follow-up have been. Please don’t leave the area! Sarasota needed a kind, compassionate, REACHABLE & RESPONSIVE exotic veterinarian and my pet family and I are so happy to have found you!

I’m so beyond happy with this Veterinarian practice. Really can’t say enough positive comments, great caring staff. Dr. Samonowitz is personable, caring and I feel confident with her experience. The office is so pleasant and clean. When I have questions, they always find a person to help and give advice. The times I’ve been there, I have never waited more than 5 minutes to be seen. I highly recommend this practice. I also will add, the prices are very fair. Thank you university clinic ❤️

This office is hands down THE best! Front staff is caring and friendly. All of the vets and techs are kind, knowledgeable, and professional. Dr. Sam is an incredible exotics vet and has been treating my leopard tortoise for almost 2 years. Their appointments are flexible and they even have a drop off service so your pet can be seen. Highly, highly recommend this office to anyone who wants to be treated like family. (I also have 3 cats that get seen here)
