How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Our Hope Center Animal Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Getting to Know Your Veterinarian

Choosing a veterinarian is an important decision for pet parents. A strong vet relationship is built on trust, communication, and understanding your pet’s individual needs.

Experience

Ask whether the clinic has experience treating your specific type of pet, since care can vary between dogs, cats, and pocket pets.

Emergency Care Procedures

It’s helpful to understand how the clinic handles after-hours emergencies, including whether they provide emergency services or refer to nearby emergency hospitals.

Communication Preferences

Ask how the clinic communicates with pet parents, including updates, test results, and follow up questions.

Breed Specific Health Considerations

Some breeds may be more prone to certain health conditions. Early awareness can help with prevention and early treatment.

Charles Kazakwic: I don't know how much worse a sick cat without eating and vomiting for two weeks could be. Nor do I think that in 24 hours he could recover from the level of dehydration presented to us. Sr. we did the best we could to help your pet, his recovery would take days, you were informed of that, and you were the one who made the decision to take it with you. I understand you are mad but please be honest and tell the truth.

I took my 2 cats in for first visit felt very welcome. Staff is extremely nice and great with my cats. Definitely having them as my vet and I will say: Brandi is a hoot. 😁

The owner is a horrible person and her prices are never the same I would never ever use them again. I now go to Bayshore animal hospital. Very good and great people there

They're very good, very kind. And for my experience I have nothing to say bad the vet seem to know what he was talking about however we do have to take rascal back to get his rabies shots but he's got to be checked out one more time before we do that. So definitely cautious there, which I appreciate cuz my pets are like my babies. I'm on social security disability. And they took that into consideration. And I will go back I got to go. And I have two friends also who use them and love them. So that's why I went and I feel the same way they do they are very helpful very kind.

We highly reccomend this vet , he will care for your pet as if they were his own. Never met such a honest caring, loving person. The world would be a better place if there were more people like this. Thank you for your service as a vet and also as a military vet. Hank & Darlene
