I, too, would like to share my appreciation for Dr. Culpepper and her staff. My 17-year-old dog was extremely ill when I arrived in Dunedin after a cross-country move. She had been diagnosed with cancer earlier and her condition had worsened. Dr. Culpepper understood my resistance to aggressive treatment and tried her best to make my dog more comfortable during her final days. She didn't pressure me at all but rather showed compassion while giving me the time to determine the best and most humane course. Ultimately, after another week, I decided that there was no hope and that even the prospects for a peaceful natural death were fading. While I cannot attest to Dr. Culpepper's medical expertise, she came highly recommended from others in town, including an experienced groomer. She seemed perfectly capable, intelligent, and sharp. Moreover, she showed empathy and could communicate well. I really appreciated how she responded to texts after hours, accommodated us into her tight schedule to perform the procedure, and even sent a condolence card after the fact. She had nothing to gain. We were pet-less, but our sadness was made a little less severe by virtue of her kindness. I'm not sure if or when we'll be adopting another dog, but I wouldn't stray any farther than Paws and Claws. Her clinic was convenient to use downtown Dunedin, with free parking directly in front. Her charges were more than reasonable, and, unlike so many other clinics, we knew exactly who we were getting for veterinary care. I liked her a lot, I felt her staff were hard working and well taught, and, based on her resume, am confident that the level of care she offered to her clients was high.

Dr. Culpepper and her staff are really great! My son has a slider turtle that git really sick and we were having a hard time finding someone who could help. We were recommended here and couldn't be happier. The level of concern and care they showed to get a little turtle healthy again was truly amazing. Several weeks after we brought him back home, Dr. Culpepper and her staff would still call/text to check on him to make sure that he was still doing ok. They really know what they are doing and clearly enjoy doing it. I highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Culpepper and her staff are the very best at what they do. More importantly, they are compassionate and loving caregivers who always go the extra mile to care for our Bernadoodle Hooch. I wouldn’t take my pet anywhere else!

My precious cat Andy Howard was my best friend and therapy kitty too. We found Andy, a rescue at 3 years old was diagnosed with kidney disease. My neighbor told me to take him to Paws and Claws. Over the years they helped give us 7 wonderful years with Andy. With their kindness and help Andy was a happy kitty for more years than normal with this disease. Thank you so much to the whole staff.
